Spyder or Piranha?

I'm a newbie looking into buying a paintball gun (puttin a dent in my savings for a new guitar). I've done some research and it looks like a good gun for a good price is either a Spyder Compact 2000, or a Piranha. Can i get some tips and recommendations?

BVP.Ill tell you my expierince and maybe it will help you decide.I bought a Spyder Shutter for myself and a Pranha STS G2 for my son for christmas to campare the two as we played. As far as I can see they are both good guns, and compare very similar to Tippman 98, any of the Spyders and any of the Piranha's.I love my Spyder, its fairly fast,accurate and dependable.I paid $200 for it. I only paid $146 for my sons Piranha.I would recommend the Prianha. It is every bit as good as my Spyder, basicly bullet proff dependable and a little easier on the wallet.

Both guns a super simple to clean/repair/change O-rings.Both are easy to feild stip to clean also, an important feature for newbies like us.Both guns are easy to upgrade with plenty of available parts on the net.
