Ricochet AK, defintely a rico. Get the ak, the stripped down version of the 2k. It feeds 12bps, takes 1 9volt battery (so its lighter than most other hoppers), its deflective design really does work, I've seen it happen personally. Its sturdy, agitates with each shot fired, has a flex sensor to detect balls, that uses next to no power, basiclly, not a single thing bad with it, all good. I cant say enough good about it.

the best hopper would the the halo... but you said that you didnt want to spend alot of money...
shooting an ebolted tippy on semi is still pretty fast... so maybe an egg of you can afford it... if not go with the rico/reloader/revvy... and just shoot slower.

Rico or reloader halo is totally out of the question

Agreed with AgentOrange. . . get the AK. I personally have seen it work twice with myself. The Ricochet design isn't meant to stop them entirely, just help your chances. I'm fer darn sure I've never seen any other hopper take a bounce, and while the majority of hopper hits will break, you'll get the occasional bounce. It's a great, reliable hopper that's very fast, light, and battery efficient. . . and you might get a bounce every once in a while.

and if you set it right, it might ricochet right into your face

I've actually never had that happen with me. And from my own personaly expirance, if you take a hopper shot from the front it's deflected about 2\3 shots for me, if you get hit from the side it will break, or on the very front, but this hopper can deflect, which is something no other hopper can do.
Plus aside from the reason I use this hopper all the time, when I first got it my friends and I tried it out, hitting it from differnt angles and ranges, and despite all that its still as sturdy and strong as ever.

I don't know how you play, but usually I don't have my hopper under my chin during the game. . . .

AgentOrange, did you mean to say that it's deflective design really DOES work??

hey who says it only ricochets straight up  i can come at any angle...
after all these years playing with my friend that uses the rico... i can tell you it NEVER deflects a ball... a ball traveling at 280fps is not going to bounce off a hard plastic hopper.

It's happened to me. . . twice. So I can tell you that it does happen. . . . Becuase it's happened to me. . . . . . twice.
And I say it only ricochet's up :P

Who cares if the rico's "deflection" design thing doesn't work? It still looks cool (total preference there) and I haven't heard of them breaking down nearly as much as a revy. So I would have to say, go with a rico. That's what I'm goin with :P

Agreed on the looks. . . . Many people said they look stupid, but I think the aerodynamic-type design is really cool. . . .

And of coarse, I absolutely agree with that. I love the look of the rico, but I love everything about my rico. It simply is the best agitating hopper on the market.

the deflection design really does work, its happened to me a handful of times.
What would be the best?
Check the hopper forum. I have an entire article of hopper information, anything you could probably need to know.
But the best thing about the e-bolt is it's adjustment of CPS. If you can't afford a force-feed system, you can just turn down the CPS and get an agitator. So either way, no chopping problems.

My revvy's had a few bounces... Does that mean they should rename it Bounceochet's? No.
