These are the paints they sell at Walmart. I buy my paint at Walmart because it is VERY inexpensive. I have an Impulse with the stock Progressive barrel...I don't know what size the barrel is but I know it is big bore'd. So far I have only tried the Dusks and they are crappy. I had about 3 leakers in a case of 1000 because the shell splits easily, and the fill is like white colored water. What do you guys think would be the best for my Impulse between:
Draxxus Dusks
RPS Superswirls
Viewloader Iballz
JT (I forgot which one, it was either Elite, Predator or Carnivore)
Brass Eagle Afterburners
Winchester Paintballs
I'm looking for the thickest, brightest fill and a brittle shell (that doesn't split in the case), I most likely won't break because I use an Egg2 /w Y-Board and I run at low pressure. I don't really care about smell and greasiness (just as long as it doesn't seem like it's been dipped in a bowl of grease). What do you guys think?

Viewloader Iballz worked awesome in my old impulse progressive barrel. I bet they will for you too.

I don't remember if they sell them in cases...only in 100 round pods. How much are they for 100? If it's cheap I'll get em...plus they come with free pods. How is the fill? Thick, bright? What about the shell?

I'm not saying that Afterburners suck just because they're made by BE, but I've tried them and they are the CRAPPIEST paintballs I've ever used. Don't even consider them :pissed:

I think I will get the IBallz...how is the fill in them? Thick? Bright? What about the shell...?

Fairly thick, hella bright, the shell is lil oily but normal.

What would you guys rate each paint...practice being the lowest and tournament being the highest...
Practice (backyard shooting, testing, etc.)
Recreational (woodsball, outlaw ball etc.)
Field (everyday field play)
Competition (scrimmages)
Tournament
I just want to see what "grade" paint you think these are. I try to look for the thickest, brightest, least-greasiest fill and a round, thin, least-greasiest shell that doesn't leak in the packaging that I can get from Walmart. Everyone has said that the Dusks are pretty good for the price..I might've gotten a bad batch, mine look like two bowls push together so they aren't round. The shell MATERIAL is nice...just the way it's put together is crappy. If Walmart picks up a different color fill besides white I might try them again. But the ones I am going to try for now are the Viewloader IBallz and the RPS Superswirls...maybe the JT and Afterburners also.
BTW...the 100 rounds pods that the IBallz come in...does the entire cap come off the pod or is it a flip cap?

I never bought them. Whenever my friend would go to walmart he would pick up about 1000 of em for 30 dollars. They didn't come in pods, just a big jug. Everything is actually very good which is surprising since its coming from viewloader. Fill is thick enough, pretty bright, shell breaks quite easily on target but wont have a problem breaking in such a low pressure marker like an impulse.

I wouldn't buy I-Balz if I was you. Those things suck. I broke about 50-100 out of 1500. Go with the Dusk, Afterburners, or Superswirls.
I've used Afterburners, and they were SO much better than I-Balz. I shot 1000 ABs and not a single ball chopped/broke.

Well I heard Afterburners are pretty big...like .692. The Progressive is .689 I think?
I've already tried the Dusks and don't like them...I mean, they shoot ok and the shell is nice material, but the fill is crap and the balls split easily.
I've basically narrowed my options down to 3 balls...
IBallz vs. Afterburners vs. Superswirls
Shell: So far I've heard...
IBallz - not too brittle, not too hard, semi-greasy
Afterburners - not too brittle, not too hard, very greasy
Superswirls - hard, tiny bit of residue
Fill: So far I've heard...
IBallz - decent fill, fairly thick, fairly bright
Afterburners - decent fill, fairly thick, some people say it is very bright, some don't
Superswirls - mediocre fill, thin, people say they look like Marbs on the outside, but the inside says different.
*BTW kalvin what kind of hopper and marker were you using?

What kinda marker/barrel were you using?

The I Ballz they sell at the local Sports Authority only come in two colors. Black with green swirls and dark orange with dark yellow swirls. They're both a little difficult to follow but I love the reusable 100 pods.

The pods suck dude. The tops just come off, no hinge, so the pods are useless, IMO. But what do ya expect only paying 3 bucks for it :)

I don't use them for field guppies, but I always have a few balls left over from the bag I purchase from the field or the last few in my hopper, and the VL pods are a great way to keep em fresh. It beats wasting all the plastic bags.

Will you guys rate the balls by the types I have up there? ^^^ :)

Why not just spend the extra 15 bucks and buy from a respectable location that knows what will work best and will give you better choices?

A TL+ with stock barrel.
Oh, and freak, just a regular hopper. And no, it wasn't because the balls weren't feeding fast enough. Even shooting one at a time I would chop a lot.

Because I don't have the extra 15 bucks. I try to get the most play for the least amount of money...I just got an Imp so I'm on a low budget for now...so I have to find the cheapest paint available.
