Andrew: Please take a look at all the stuff that's being posted in the Newbie Forum: Spyder/Piranah; Bottom Line Help; and numerous others that have already been posted in the GPBT Forum ... It's getting very redundant and very annoying. Let's face it, it doesn't matter if a newbie posted it in the Newbie Forum or a Pro posted it, it's in the wrong forum and should either be moved or Closed.

Some Mods have absolutely no problem deleting or closing threads that are the least bit off topic, but for some reason the Newbie Forum has been allowed to become Awash in Threads that have already been espoused upon or debated to death in GPBT.

Please Help.

Muck I explained this to you. Those are complete newbie questions. That is what that forum is for, it is for question by people who have very little knowlege basis in paintball and it is good to leave those very newbie like questions so other newbies can read it. It is not just for talking about what it is like being a newbie. I allready have moved a lot of thread out of there and closed some dup threads.

You have to realise that those posts are in the correct forum. If they were not, trust me I would move them :)
Yes SOME are similar or the same questions asked in the GPBT.

Counterfeit ... The reason I'm posting this, and the reason I keep posting it, is because we now have two GPBT Forums, one called GPBT and one called Newcomers ... The exact same stuff is being posted in both forums. There is no need for two forums with Redundant material.

You may have explained this to me before, but now I would like to address this to Andrew and see what he thinks. :D

If anything I think that all the newbie questions (like Tippmann vs. Spyder) should be moved to the New players forum

I really think lots of people are getting annoyed by those questions...

I totally agree with Andrew. We have tons of newbies posting tons of newbie questions in GPBT. They need to learn to post them in the Newcomers section rather than deleting the threads already in that forum Muck.

I totally agree, I will probably start moving quite a few threads into the GPBT.

I still don't agree, if anything, GPBT is where you want to talk about guns, paint, barrels ... etc. the newcomers forum should be about introducing players to the game, what to expect when you play, how much it costs, what to wear, types of games, etc. If you move Marker related threads to the newbie forum, then what are ya gonna do when people start asking those same questions in the GPBT forum, how will distinguish if a newbie or experienced player asked "Which is better, the Piranah STS or Spyder TL?"

If anything, close the redundant threads in the Newbie forum, and then when you open the new Marker related Forums, move all that stuff to the appropriate New Forum.

What really annoys me are those Model98 vs. Spyder, Piranha vs. Spyder, etc. threads. Those should be in the newbie section IMO.

Muck that is not just what the newbie forums is for. It is for questions that are newbie questions(these are questions that will get flamed most likely also if they were in the GPBT). It is not a matter of you agreeing, that is how the forums are set up.

And we are not going to take the time to move all the old threads from GPBT and/or newbie forum to each other.

Well to me what drives the newbies away from the newbie fourm is they don't see the little light bulb thing lit. So therefore they think nobody is in that fourm asking or answering questions. Now when they see that the general fourm has many new post with questions being answered they go in their ask their questions that have been asked many times before. And that is what seems to happen imo at least.
