Yeah Im looking into making an upgrade/upgrades to my Phantom and I need some input. I have a Phantom, with bottomline, 45 grip, 5in sight rail, 14in barrel and Acid Green anodizing. I live in a very hot climate(100+ playing conditions) and Im having some probs with change in velocity between a full CO2 and when it becomes around 90% full. Im thinking about getting a HPA system. Does anyone use HPA on their Phantom and if so, is it worth the money. Im thinking about a Crossfire Stubby or something to that affect. Thanks for your input!

I think with the inconsistency of the CO2 in your climate, I would say it would be worth it. Besides that the phantom uses so little amount of air to power the gun that refills wont be so often as semi play.

I think its worth it.

you could try it , but it might unbalance the marker

being as light as the gun is (a SC weighs at three pounds empty) I would say that you should try to remote the system. if no remote try to get the tank in the center of the gun buy using a DF.

get a Flatline 47 and a huge drop and it will balance prolly

So.... have you made up your mind on whats soon to be new on the gun.

Well I decided that an HPA tank might throw off the already perfect balance of my set up. Although it might add some stability, once my velocity drops due to too much pressure in the tank due to the heat, the gun shoots plus or minus 5fps anyways, which is pretty good for CO2. Im going to try filling my tank like three quarters full, so if it heats up, the pressure wont get too high. I then thought of another upgrade option. I play against mostly semis, alot of them being super semis and cockers and I find one of my biggest problems is the overall length of my gun. So Ive decided to get an 8" nickel barrel from CCI, a KAPP Rhino Drop Forward (chrome) and some Dye Stickies. This should give me a very compact setup which will help when playing aggresively, which I do quite often. Its kind of like a Micro Phantom, Semi style. Once I receive everything and try it out...Ill post the results...It should look cool.

Yesterday I played for about 4 hours with my new setup and it absolutely kicks butt. It measures like 20 inches long ready to play and is one of the most compact setups Ive ever seen or played with. Snipinhick...the 8" nickel barrel shoots darts. I really mean it. Its not that loud and is incredibly accurate with the right paint. The whole setup is very comfortable and it made it so much easier to play against high end semis.
