I was wondering how detrimental a small, almost inaudible, leak is to the efficiency of a paintball marker. Is it measured in "less shots per tank" or does it effect accuracy?

I don't think it could get any clearer than what I stated. If I must use simple language for those less intelligent among us, then I suppose I must.

How.....does.....a.....small.....air.....leak..... effect.....a.....paintball.....marker?

Did you get that?

By the way, my first post was in english sport.

So I take it what you really meant to say arson was, "I don't know what the hell I"m talking about so I don't have an intelligent answer to offer".

there's no need to flame, boys. keep it civil. any leak will cause you to run out of air faster. accuracy will not be affected.

dont worry sentinel

anyawy id say if you can get rid of it get rid of it however it should only take a couple shots out depending on how long you let it sit and such of course but it wont effect anything in the gun though unless its a huge leak which it isnt

Thanks for the responses spyderman and Falloutman. It is a very small leak. I have to hold my ear right up to the leak in order to hear it. I'm guessing it is the valve body that is leaking as I have replaced everything else.

could be a stupid question but, did u take the valve out and check the o-rings on it. Just curios.

Not a stupid question at all. Actually, my tank ran out of air before I got around to doing that, and I figured, even if I did check/replace the o-rings on the valve, I couldn't diagnose the leak any further until I had some CO2.

i know that feeling, i shreded the o-rings in my impulse when i went to remove the valve. EPBO left the stock valve spring in and it made my ND valve get stuck open. Luckily i was using N2 at the time so it didnt freeze my gun. i just thought the valve got stuck open b/c it needed lubed.

O chech ur...uh...the thing on ur valve...CUP SEAL. that could be it.

I changed my cup seal before I ran out of CO2. I still had the small leak.
