I have my Bushmaster set for the shortest and lightest trigger pull possible, 0.005" and the pressure is ZERO!! Take a look at this and see if you agree. http://www.ips.k12.in.us/pix/bm2k/bushmaster-trigger-1.mpg
It's in semi auto mode and the video hasn't been digitally altered.
Okay, it really does work. The picture nor the video was altered. What I did was remove the trigger and microswitch. In their place I put a reed switch assembly. The small bump you see where the trigger went is the lexan housing I made. Inside of my glove is a small magnet. As it's drawn close to the reed the connections make contact and the gun fires. Pull the magnet away and the contacts open. Zero trigger pressure and 5 thousandths of an inch is the amount the reed moves to make contact. Watch the video again and you'll see I don't touch the gun at all. Once you find the sweet spot it rocks. It can be activated from the side or the front or any angle in between.
Everyone thought that it used a motion or touch sensor and would be unsafe in the staging area. In all reality it is safer than a gun with a trigger. Unless you have the magnet you can't fire it. No one can just walk up, turn it on and fire it.
I've requested a ruling on it being tournament legal. I'll let everyone know what I find out.
So there you go, the truth unveiled. If you're in the Indianapolis area I'll have it at Gator Joe's East store tonight and Friday night.
