hey guys.
Once again my imp is acting up. fo the first time in my life i played woods ball so i got to turn my velocity up to 230- 280. I did not touch my dwell but just upped my psi from like 160 to 190. My problem was that when i started firing fast my bolt with stay forward and it sounded like it was releasing air. The same sound you get when you push your bolt forward when it is gassed. What is this and can i fix it? Thanks guys im sure someone will help me out, you guys are always helpful.
Have a good one

Get a tapeworm and that bolt problem of yours should be cured.
your bolt is sticking, like cockerkid said get a tapeworm
edit : nvm about bolt :eyes:

any type of solonoid optimizer will fix that problem. You have bolt stick. You when skip a shot and there is no ball in the chamber the bolt will stick. The impulse is designed to have a consistant recocking pressure which is caused by the ball. When the ball is not there to then give the bolt pressure to recock it sticks. The Tape will allow the impulse to dry fire, and not need the pressure from the ball to recock. Go buy one now, you should always have sometype of solonoid optimizer, if it's a Eclipse agressor, Smart parts tape worm, Evil respirator, Smart Parts Lpr, Eclipse Lpr, anything is good.
Enjoy!

I think that has more to do with your ram and hammer.

If I were to buy a tapeworm now, just to stop bolt stick, and later on , when I have the money, buy a lpr (jackhammer 2), would I have to take the tapeworm off? Would the tapeworm and lpr be redundant? Would this be a wise choice or would it be better to just save up for the lpr and skip the tapeworm?

yea - its either tapeworm or lpr, not both. its really ur choice if u wanna get a tapeworm now or save up for a lpr, but the tapeworm is only like $20, and if its gonna be a while until you get the money for a lpr then just get the tapeworm. if the lpr is within a few weeks, just save for that.

a tapeworm will do what you need it to
for fsdo, read the faq;)

How useable is an Impulse without an lpr or tapeworm? Would I be plagued with bolt stick?

it's only when you skip a shot and the ball isnt in the chamber.
if you have a fast hopper you will be fine, but buy one no matter what
for fsdo it DOES NOT advertise that it will get rid of it, but it does for the most part.
the only item that DOEs advertise getting rid of FSDO is the slik shot shaft from ND, and the Hyper gas through grip.

Does the fact that my Impulse will have Vision help avoid bolt stick? It should because it wouldn't let it shoot if there isn't a ball in the chamber.
I guess my best choice would be to hold on and then buy an lpr (at least for consistency and gas saving) and then a new bolt, hammer and hammer shaft.

the vision will prevent it, but regardless. The vision is 150-200 and the worm is 20.
