View Full Version : Underly-Appreciated Gun!
Hi, I'm Murf, a brand new member of this forum society... And I'm the proud owner of one of the most underly-appreciated guns... The F4 Illustrator. Is it just me or does everyone just overlook this gun as a possible option? All of my friends invested in Spyders and M98s, but I walk alone with the F4 TP. Has anyone ever used one? Except for possible sear problems(that's where the greatest customer service in paintball guns comes in), ACI produces a great gun. Glad to be a part of this organization!
f4's aren't that over looked i would say something like the genie and the sheridan xts are...

there decent but still there plastic and will wear out on you some time or later

i lloked into an f4 but saw a much much smaller upgrade path than my spyder, and hey if you've got one it can't be that over looked :-)

I was going to get the f4, but the resident airsmith said he has to fix a lot of those, trouble with the sear or something. They aren't as bad as BE, but they strike me as another spyder clone. If anyone wants recognition, they have to be original.
Actually, the F4 is a descendant of the F1, and the F1 was produced before the Spyder was even thought of. By the way, if your friend actually wanted the gun fixed, he could have sent it to ACI and had it completely fixed up for basically free. Just like I did. The sear in mine wore out in weeks, but i sent it back and they gave me a 2001 grip frame (this was in september 2000), and I have had no probs.

I understand what you are talking about. The F4 is very good. But it is not as good as a Piranha. They are also under apreciated and underestimated. But not as bad as the F4 is. I was gonna get the F4, but I started reading about the STS G2.
