This weekend i'm selling my gun, paintball has been fun but for a 9th grader with limited funds it's just to expensive. I wont quit the forums cuz I still might post in the OT forum. Today was my birthday and what a day, i think i broke my toe, all my friends forgot it was my birthday, and i had to run 3 miles for P.E. in the blistering Georgia sun. Not only that but I have 2 tests tommorrow but i'll probally stay home cuz I really am hurt. Anyway back on paintball, Saturday is going to be my last day playing. It'll be my captains last game in our city because he's moving to Missouri. Thanks for the help when my gun broke down and I'll check on ya guys everynow and again.

Sorry to hear about your day. Happy birthday though. If you are low on cash, get a part time job after school during the week or else work on the weekends. Don't sell your gun either in case you decide to play again. Sell some accessories that you don't really need. You have an ELCD don't you? Sell that and take the money to buy paint and air. Don't just give up on something you like. You gotta have faith...:)

I'm pretty sure I dont want to continue playing. I have to sell the eLCD with the gun because the only reason i bout it was because the stock trigger frame broke so why pay $50 for a stock one when you can get an electric one for 185 bucks more? I might be able to use a matrix this weekend (awesome!!!) if the store owner lets me use his. Anyways today wasnt nearly as bad but I'm gonna suck playing tommorrow with two bumb legs, o well. My friend broke his arm playing football for the school, he should learn that small people cant play football for a high school team (*******) I'm planning on getting around $400+ for my gun and money my friends give me, say i get $400,my parents would pay $100 to get me a 5 disc DVD player and surround sound system (500 bucks for it at Best Buy) (Its Sony Too!)Then theyd pay about 180 bucks for a 27 inch TV at Wal Mart (Phillips) overall i'd rather have that that my gun and stuff.

yeah part of it is that I never feel the adrenaline rush like I used to, also I pretty much suck at paintball. Well I was always a team player and set up kills but I never found joy in that. I guess I wasnt a true paintballer but once stuff gets into your life you think about other things. And believe you'll quit before your outta high school.

I'm out of high school and I'm still playing, and I love to play. I can understand if people want to quit because they don't like it or don't have enough money to play, but I'd keep the gun. I played for awhile then stopped for a year or two, and then started playing again hardcore a couple months ago. I kept my original gun, the mighty HAMMER, and all the stuff for it and I use it now to get other people interested in the game.
I don't ever want to stop playing paintball, but sometimes it is hard to find decent people to play with. I play with my friends sometimes and usually end up hating it because they like to screw around and don't follow safety rules and such. Then I go and play at the closest field, which is 20 mins. away, and I play for 5 hours or more straight and have a hell of a time.
I also have a decent job during the summer to support my habit, and then I'm getting another part time one when I start classes in the fall so I can keep playing. I also want to eventually get a higher end gun, maybe a shocker or something.
The point of all that is, there's a time when most of us become disenfranchised with something we do, be it paintball or some other sport, and we want to quit playing. Then later on, we wish we hadn't quit, or we would like to play again, and then if we had only kept the stuff we originally had, we wouldn't have to spend a fortune to get back into playing.
I quit about the same time you as, the summer before I was going to be a sophomore in high school, and I've started playing again now because I can afford it, and have finally found a field with some cool people. Don't give up, keep the gun. You don't have to play, but trust me, you may want to use it someday.
