Help! Which marker...

I'm a new player and am buying my first marker. I plan to play 2-3 times per month. I've narrowed my choices down to...

Tippman Custom 98
Spyder Xtra
Spyder Aggressor XT

What do you think? I'm open to further suggestions.

I've heard good things about all the guns, but most of the good feedback has been towards the Tippman.

Please help.

u should read Informative Buyer's Guide :nod: yup but also most peeps will say one brand over another since they either have the gun or wat not, it all dependson how theguns feels in ur hands, no one can exactly tell you which gun to get. they can just have preferance.

Those are all good guns, but I would leave off the Aggressor XT, just go for the Xtra or 98, both are standard blowbacks, both can be madly upgraded, both cost around the same. Its just pure preferance.

oh yeh sorry bout not postin this earlier but if u want to look into piranha's they are pretty much the same as spyders but imo they have better stock parts.

I had a spyder/ e-2 black dragun, same thing, and i had a tippy, i was impressed, as a newb with the dragun but trust me tippy is the way to go. all my friends who are gettin into pball get tippy's cuz they take me and my friend's words, except for one who got a spyder xtra, he is a moron, GET THE TIPPMANN, they are rugged, and don't break down

I have to say to go with one of the spyders cause on all of the tippmans once you break the fead tube your gun is broken. That can get u pissed:pissed:. Good Luck

personialy i like the xtra better i have been using it for over a year and i love it its so easy to field strip and clean and upgrading is fast and cheap

basicaly here is what u need 2 know about the 2 guns

tipman
reliable if u take good care of them, durable,strong, can shoot almost everywhere(like in mud even under water i think) basicaly the ak47 of paintball, it also is the easiest paintball gun 2 clean

spyders in general
great, reliable, a little better looking than a tipman, the cup seal can go bad alot but i mean its not that big of a deal c asue it easy to get to
easy to field strip basicaly u can totaly disacemble it in about 5 mins tops the 2nd easiest gun 2 clean

persionaly i would go w/ the spyder casue 2 me it operates smother but its up 2 u but look at reviews of the guns

ya, i really hate syders dnno why. when i first started i saw theem and said some nasty stuff.

well now it doesnt really matter. go t oa proshop and feel them and shoot em. then choose

. spyders leak, and stuff. but in good condition can be nice.

tippys: will look nice and some love with make it great.

kinda depends on your $$$

If your incredibly lazy and you never oil your gun every once in a while, get the 98 Custom. Are you more of a speedballer? Xtra definetly, its more compact and not as bulky as the 98c. Shoot both and find your preference. I say Xtra all the way as I like the compactness of it.

Xtra is a better gun stock... I wouldntget the tippmann if your doing speedball but if you play woods either is fine. i like the xtra more. my brother has one and i have several friends with tippys. I like the xtra more, it has a better stock barrel and is not big and heavy.
