one of my buddy's had a problem with his 98 rt.

when you cock it and shoot it, it fires once but doesn't recock. anyone know what the problem might be? the velocity was fine on the gun.... i thought that it might be a bad valve but i don't know.... or maybe the rt had something to do with it. anyone out there know why?

i think it is maybe set too high on the rt so there is not enough gas to blow back the rear bolt?

another thought, that doenst sound right... well i think its the prob.:|

I'm not familiar with the RT very much, but how full was the tank you were using? Signs of not cocking usually have to do with the tank not being full enough to cock the gun. Will could also be right about the RT being set too high, but as I have no experience with it I hesitate to say that's what is wrong.

Might be letting to much air to the RT and not enough to the bolt.

if it isn't sputtering then none of those is the answer...

if it is sputtering it could be... a low tank... (stiff spring... but this couldn't change spontaniously)... worn down sear(not catching the bolt)... or a busted o-ring in the valve...

if it isn't sputtering its most likely a broken o-ring in the valve preventing blowback gases at all...
