I am having problems with bd pinching balls if i set the frame faster than 8 bps. I am using a revy w/xboard and 6blade impeller. I have even tried using an egoII but with no luck. I have a bd w/o the full function board and a pure energy reg. I have tried adjusting pressure up and down as well as different springs. Any help would greatly appreciated dont know what else to try:pissed:

well atleast your pinching and not chopping. a faster loader will take away the chances of pinching paint. even thought ur revvy can feed like 12 bps, and ur only shooting 8, it can still pinch because the blowback is slowing down the balls.

I am waiting for my friend to get his halo b back from being fixed right now but shouldnt the ego have at least let it go up 2 bps per second more than what the revy would do????? I know it feeds 14bps with my friends angel. I just want to know why i cant get it to go any faster than just 8bps??

mine will pinch every so often, and what i do is take the bolt out half way and then but it back in. I do this because sometimes when I pinch a ball i am not able to re-cock, it either acts like then gun is already cocked, but all it makes is that clicking sound, or i just cant budge the rear cocking part. Then what i have to do is pull really hard on the bolt. O yea it is stock bolt, FYI. Any ideas so i dont have to do that when im on the field, or any1 else had that happen.

blackdLCD i dont think ur pinching cause pinching wouldn't cause the gun to not cock. a chop could though

yes the egg2 would be a better choice since it is partially force fed. i used to have a ricochet and the blowback would make me chop balls when i had the regular les board which was capped at 10 bps.

Pinching does cause the marker to not recock. It gets stuck on the ball, so you need to recock it to get it working again.

I have used the egg2 and i still can not set the rof any faster than 8bps thats what i cant figure out. I know that the blowback from the gun will slow down the balls but the egg2 should have let me shoot the gun at least a little faster. I can shoot my spyder electra dx at its max with just my revy on it but it does love the egg2. What i cant figure out is how my spyder can shoot 13bps without chopping or pinching but my dragun cant go any higher than 8bps w/o pinching??????????? Even my local shop can't figure it out cause i use the same reg and tank on both guns just switch them back and forth!!!!!

hmm still cant shoot fast with an egg 3 huh? the problem with an egg is cuz the forcefeed only kicks in when theres a gap, versus the constant forcefeed of the spring tension in the halo. maybe ur having so much blowback that the ball is still blocking the eye so the egg doesnt turn on every time. try a new bolt, my spudnukl bolt is a little bit longer than the stock one and it cut the blowback down to like 1/4 of what it was before.

Before you go out and do something drastic like buy a new bolt try this:
One of the main reasons BD's sometimes pinch balls is because the sear is not fully adjusted right. When the gun passes a certain cycle speed, the sear is not able to keep up with the bolt recocking due to poor adjustment, thus the pinched ball. Most of the time it's the hopper, but you shouldn't be having this problem.
The solution:
Loosen the sear adjustment set screw first. Then turn the sear adjustment screw COUNTERCLOCKWISE 1/4 of a turn. That should solve the problem. If it doesn't, repeat the process. If it works, retighten the sear set screw. If it still doesn't, then it might be the ball detent. Take the ball detent off and clean it out.

Thanks for the info. I will get that checked out this weekend. I hope that it fixes the problem cause im getting tired of messing with it.
