What does an unmilled mephisto body look like?

For those of you who were asking me for pictures (and those who were curious what an unmilled 2.2 Mephisto body looked like) here she be. #2087. I plan to make this the most tricked Mephisto in existance (maybe only second to the LCD Mephisto, if it still around......maybe).

As of right now, I have already started to work out the machine marks in the body. Once I finish polishing it (as well as several of the small scratches and dings) its going off to Voplex machining (where my step father works) for a second detent and have the grub screw holes drilled and tapped to 10-32. After that, it goes to Free Flow for a new anno job. The rest is a secret for now.

looks nice, but why drilling and taping to 10-32... my front one I made 10-32. but why mack ones and other ones?

Notice there are 3 windows on the site rail (instead of 2 on a regular mephisto) and that the body lacks the 3 "gills" milled into the side of the body. Its also worth mentioning that the body slot runing along the center of the body is much longer; it runs from the very front to nearly all the way to the back.

eww....those pictures are a bit blury....

The others tapped to 10-32 so they will be easier to remove and less prone to stripping if I ever have to remove them again (which I don't forsee, but who knows what will happen in a year)

I just got an Unmilled 2.2 mephy myself. Still not sure what I want to do with it.

BTW: Whenever I try to look at an attachment, I got a Forbidden error that says i can't access attachments.php
