i dont understand why everyone thinks the bob long millenium is a spyder. Not one part in it is from kingman. Each was made by Delta, the company that manufactures bob long guns. No spyder is top cocking, and the millenium is. No spyder is vertical feed, the millenium is. The body is totally different as well. Just because it can use spyder parts doesnt make it a spyder. not that spyders are bad or not as good. i just wanted to clear that up.
I would not be offended in the lease bit if somone could provide me with substantial evidence that i am wrong, in fact i would appreciate it.
peace,

where should I start..geeze..let"s see.they are both make out of a block of aluminum...both are milled albet.differently.....they use all the same parts.BL doesn't make his internals.........you can make you spyder a top cocking.if you have a slot milled into it....and if all the spyder parts fit in it....the barrel ans striker tubes must me milled to the same specs...hmmmmmm...sounds Like the BL is just a spyder in disguise......IMO

No spyder(should be-not any) is top cocking, and the millenium is.
:: :cough: what about the Em1? :cough:
No spyder(again should be-not any) is vertical feed, the millenium is.

:: thank you! But i don't think anyone was disagreeing with you, so you don't need to sound like it's brand new news to us. After all the millineum's been out for about what 3 or 4 years now?

Em1 isnt top cocking, it's self cocking. The spring always pulls the bolt into the back position, so if the bolt is in, the gun is cocked. When you pull the trigger, the solenoid puts air into the chamber that the hammer is housed in. This exerts a force on the back of the hammer, and drives it forward into the valve. When the valve is open for the set dwell time, the pressure behind the bolt is released and the spring pulls it back into a cocked position. And yes Bob Long does make his own internals, not for the millenium, but for the intimidator he does. I just get kinda peeved when people assume my gun is top cocking and has a main spring and sear, when it is oh so much more. Otherwise it'd pretty much be an LCD blowback. Ugh the thought. You get alot of that kinda thing with quick strip bolts, like the impulse or Intimidator. I'm not exatcly sure what purpose the knob serves on the EM1, I'm pretty sure it's disassembly. I just know for a fact that the EM1 cocks by way of a spring that puts constant pressure on the bolt :)

well the millenium has different parts, but they both have the EXACT same internal parts. They both use the same striker, they both have interchangable valve assemblies, they both use the exact same model cup seal, the same types of low pressure chambers, the same basic design of bolts, they can interchange barrels and grip frames. Sounds to me like the Millenium is to the SPyder like the Defiant is to the Bushmaster. If you look at my spyder, mine won't shoot like a stock spyder either. Well the fact is that the Millenium comes with a better barrel and trigger frame. Of course it's not gonna shoot like a stock spyder. BUT if you hook that spyder up to the specs of the Millenium, you'll find that they will shoot simmilarly if not identically.

Yes but all I have to say is one word. "VERTICAL FEED" baby!. No wait, 2. Vert feed is just so much nicer :)
