I am shopping for a new barrel for my compact spyder 2000 since the stock barrel is just awful........:pissed:

I have been looking at Smart Parts' Stainless Steel and their Teardrop, ACI's Combo and Zero Gravity, Custom Products 16" Barrel, DYE's Excel, and TASO's Windforce.....:eyes: :eyes:

all of these barrels are between 12 and 16 inches, and all recieved a 8.8 or higher on pbreview.com:laugh:

The ones that I really want are the Stainless steel, the custom products, the DYE excel, and the windforce

But I dont really know which one....I like the Smart Parts Stainless most of all and if I dont get a definite answer out of you guys that is what I am going with......

CP or smart parts, but CP shoots through breaks much easier thanany smart parts barrel

i say CP. they work well on all low-end guns. (as well as high-end guns)

get a j&j ceramic barrel. dont get the CP. you will thank me if you do get a J&J. i decided to get it on the recommendation of a member of Ground Zero Black who refs at my local field. it is amazingly accurate for a cheaper barrel. you can get it for under $45 at paintballgear.com. it will be all you will need until you get into tourneys.

I have 3 for the CP aluminum and 1 for a J&J ceramic. Is there something wrong with the smart parts stainless steal? All 19 people that reviewed it on pbreview.com gave it a 10. I dont really think I want a ceramic barrel, but what do I know.......

I have found through out trial and error of my friends guns and of the guns at my field that j&j is the most quite and most accurate cheap barrrel. It also clean exceptionally well after ball breaks and you don't ussaly need to swab the barrel. I would also recomend the Dye Xcel barrel. It has the same qualitys as the j&j but doesn't clean soo well. It also looks better then the j&j.

Go with the Custom products. They're accurate with the right paint match and quiet also. The Smart parts all american barrel is pretty good to and really quiet, but i still recommend the Custom products one piece barrel. http://www.e-paintballoutlet.com has them for 35, but ya gotta call them or email them. Also dont get anything larger then 12 inches or possibly 14.

Buy a 32 degrees terminator barrel. it will shoot with any barrel out and is quieter than most. plus only 34.88 from www.888paintball.com

I have had a dye boomstick, a j&j 2-piece, a dye ss, a stonecold II(which was junk), and now my cp. And I honestly feel that my cp is every bit as accurate as the higher priced barrels were. If you get the cp, which I highly recommend, check out ebay. I got mine off ebay for $32, and they sell cheaper than that all the time.

Did i mention i can get the smart parts stainless steel barrel for only $60, $20 off of normal price.

A 12" barrel would be best right?
Maybe 14"?

So it is narrowed down to the CP 1 piece.......the Smart Parts Stainless steel.... 32 degress carbon fiber that this guuy here is selling for $40.......and the J&J barrel, should the J&J barrel be ceramic or what?

I'd go w/ the J&J Ceramic if not then definately the CP.
I have a friend with the 32 Deg. Carbon Fiber who's had nothing but trouble with it on his M98. The threads don't match up right & there were a few blemishes on the inside of the barrel when he got it (his fault for not reutrning it).

& just so you know the J&J Ceramic is Ceramic impregnated aluminum

Go with the cp one piece. I've had some experience with the Carbon Fiber barrel and its an all around sweet barrel, but I still like the CP one piece.
