which one?
I'm looking to upgrade to a new marker(i have two tippmannns now, i'll sell the one and keep the other for back up) but i am have some trouble deciding on one. I play mainly rec but some scenario and back yard play. I play mostly on woods fields but I like a good speedball game too. I plan on buying used on ebay and have about 300$ but the less i spend the more money i have to buy upgrades and i could use a new mask and harness.anyways i wan't sure where i should put this because i'm asking about several differant markers so don't yell at me or anything. i lust want to know what a good serious rec gun is. oh and i will be running it on anti-siphon co2 until i can buy a HPA tank and even then some of my local fields don't offer HPA fills.
Here are the markers i'm looking at
automag-derable, small, compact, light, quiet all are important to me and with x xhamber and anti-siphon will run consistantly on co2. with a new trigger frame it offers a good rate off fireand wont chop with level 10.
shocker- they are a little bigger but are very quiet, accurate, and fast. they work really good on co2 which is nice
autococker- sure there is more invalved in cocker up keep and timing but i think i can handle it. there is a lot to like about the autococker because the endless upgrading options allow you to make the cocker into any kind of marker you want but it can get pricy.
bushmaster-it's a small fast speedball gun but i don't know much about them.
please help me out and give me some insites on what to do

If I were you I'd buy a big bucket of "Where-to-post-questions" juice, guaranteed to increase BB-sense by 100%!

Well, I think you'll have a better chance of a straight answer and not getting flamed in General.

Get the Shocker. They are cheap, reliable and fast. Not to mention they run perfectly on co2 and come with a max-flo.

i say cocker, they are light, and small. They come with a hinge so they are plenty fast. Not that hard to keep up, as long as u dont really mess with anything. It's not hard to learn how to time and fix problems here is a great site with an awesome article about timing and problems: http://paintballravi.com/Articles/AutocockerInfosheet/ACTroub.html#Timing

Yah, Impys are pretty sweet. But if i were u i would either get a 2k3 cocker or a TKO automag from paintballgear.com. I say the automag because they are great for woods an scenario because they are built like rocks, and they are also very compact which is great for speedball. I say cocker because although they arent as good for woodsgames they are so much better for speedball in that they are compact and are capable of shooting very fast. With a cocker the only real upgrades you would need is a drop forward and a new barrel and thats it. But with a mag however you would need a blade trigger, barrel, drop, ULE body. To make it like the cocker and thats about 200 dollars more in upgrades. So it is up to u. If u play more woods than go w/ the mag, if u play more speedball than go w/ the cocker.

last time I checked blades were for cockers :eyes:

blades were for pulses first but eclipse has come out with a blade frame for cockers, and also a Intelliframe for the mag can come with a blade "STYLE" trigger

I know that, he was referring to the blade, not the intelliframe...I was correcting him in that blades are not availible for Automags.
Noone can correct me on that one now, can they :P

Go to your local pro shop and hold and fire all of them. Somtimes the deciding factor can come down to wich one you like better. And i wouldnt buy a gun that i hadnt shot before, just so you find any surprises when you get it.

I love paintball dont get me wrong, but IMO it the player not the marker, so if I were you keep the Tippmann run it on nitro. Take your other money spend it on taking chicks out to dinner and have them admire youre welts :D or you could just spend the money on xbox.

When I went from lower end gun to high end (when I bought my cocker) I noticed a improvment in my game. When I sold my cocker and bought a impulse, I noticed a improvment as well.

yes the tippmann is probably holding back the kid from playing better "i.e. him pulling faster in the trigger, & snap shooting better with a new gun". I know that my spyder was holding me back, whenever i would go to fire i would end up having the bolt pinch a ball and stop and i had to recock it which made me get out a couple times and loss a game twice.

bingo:tup:
i love my tippy but i feel its time to move on it was a great gun to start with but its time to move up and away from blow backs. we'll see how much cash i have let after i buy a car i'm thinking 300$ but if i don't i might have to wait a month of two til i can get a new marker

Why get a Shocker when you can get an Impulse? Impulse's are just better Shockers for a little more money. If you are going to get a Shocker, scratch that idea and go for an Imp.
Bushmasters just suck.
I could never decide between a Cocker and a Mag...both are great markers.

Please elaborate on how bushmasters "suck"

Because they are basically clones of Impulses, just crappier and more expensive. You get more support with Impulses then you do Bushmasters as well.
