i guess brass eagle finally got their sh*t together

aparently they are putting in better board called the x-board and upgrading the bodies to polycarbonate which seem to be dramatically stronger than the older gem series bodies.

i'm glad i didnt buy a revvy before this, now when i buy one i gotta make sure that its the new style

i believe that BE is just copying a idea that is already being used, new boards for revys, check out the turborev boards at http://www.wickedairsportz.com

well, they may be copying the idea, but when they come stock with the upgraded boards and stronger bodies, would you rather buy the turborev board or have yours come with some similar for the price of a regular rev?

I'd rather have the turborev, it does alot more than just reduce the delay time, read the site. It's actually faster than intellifeed. So I dont really care what BE puts out, I'm still going to be purchasing my turborev, and with all the revvy electronics problems me and my teamates have been having, I think it's best to remove as many poorly made (Viewloader) components as possible. My 2 cents

well, think of it this way, they might make the product, but just because the make it doesnt mean its gonna work properly and not have problems. take a look at the proteus goggles that were put out by jt (BE) they ****ed that up, so im gonna bet that something will go wrong with the new loader they put out, just like everything else they make :)

what do you suggest? cause the turborev is just the board correct? so what body should we get? just a be/vl body and replace the board?

I just might have to get one of those new polycarbonate ones. A couple weeks ago we were playing a rec game at my friends and someone shot my revy from the side and put a hole in it. I just used green electrical tape to patch it for now.:|

Well, I've got one of the BE sun revvies and I'm just gonna get the turborev and keep my rev body. When it breaks eventually, then I'll get the newer ones. As for the HALO, it is after all as of yet unproven, could be a POS, also it just looks way too darn big to be playin with. Maybe a back player would get alot of use from a HALO, but from a frontmans perspective, it's too darn big

Yah well you can only get off so many rounds before you get a 3paintball spread on your hopper due to large profile...

I will probably get the new BE/VL bodies..replace the chip..and then maybe win a HALO at a tourney and try it out.. I have a feeling HALOs are going to be a big hit when it comes to tournament prizes..i dont know why but hoppers and assessories like that are good tournament prizes.. :eyes: We'll see i guess..

Oh yah it does look big, but i haven't seen it compared to a 12v so i just assumed its same basic size just bulkier around the whole shell instead of just the back... < that accurate? :confused:

You don't have to buy a whole new Rev, you can just buy the board. The local pro shop was selling the boards at a tourney over the weekend for $20/each.

Does anyone know if you can upgrade a 9v to a 12v?

I am looking to buy a bushmaster and it needs a 12v rev and I don't want to go out and buy a 12v if I can upgrade my 9v.

even if you bought the upgrade board for like 20 bucks the new revvys have the polycarbnate body which i think they use that material to make mask lenses out of so the body of the revvys are gonna be a lot stronger then the old ones
