Mags Rule

Yesterday, a friend of mine who was a HARDCORE spyder owner for the longest time got to use the mag I got him for the first time. I think we have a convert. Problem is, he likes to trick out his toys. His spyder had about $700 worth of upgrades done to it over the years, before it finally came apart at the welds.

How can I convince him not to mess with the mag? IMO anything other than a barrel change is a waste of time. the AGD stock parts are of such high quality that you do not need to upgrade.

cosmetics come to mind, an AGD grip frame, fore grip, nitro, drop. all good shtuff

ya, cosmetics.. an ReTro Valve if ya want, v/f conversion, grip frame, grips, foregrip, drop.. there are things he can do.. foamy bolt also..

get a new barrel (irecommend the freak)
venturi bolt(no breaks)DONT GET 32* THEY SUK
Z-grip
a revy
drop fwd
nitro is a must with mags or a remote w/ a good reg(stabilizer)
if he has money the retro valve is cool but not necessary
definately better than a spyder

ya, cosmetics are fine, I just dont want him to mess with the guts of the thing. Mines about 8 yearz old and I've never had a major problem with it.

Does anyone have any 32* horror stories they could share? I'm worried he is going to go out and buy a lot of junk for it that it doesn't need.

No body wants their friends to get a great marker like a Mag and mess it up with alot of junk that is really not needed. My suggestion is to give him friendly advide but don't keep bugging him about it. Show him how your Mag works great with stock parts and if you have anyone else at your field that used a Mag, talk with them. Just try to let him know that unlike a spyder who requires all those upgrades to make it work as close it it can get to a Mag, the Mag itself does not need all of that stuff. if he does decide to go out and get alot of junk that will just mess up the quality of the mag then unfortunatlly it is something that you can't really worry about. If something happens to his Mag it's his fault, just hope that it dosn't happen while you are depending on him to cover you during a toruney.

As for suggestions,

Tell him to get a retro valve, Benchmark or AGD Intellifeed frame
A Power Feed body (if he hasn't already bought the mag with a standard feed)
a different barrel, [Freak Kit (A+), Dye BoomStick (A), Smart Parts All American (A), Lapco Big Shot (A-)
A good Drop Forward,
And deffently Nitro, if he gets a Retro I would suggest a 88ci or bigger.

my 32* horror story is i got my silver extreme in the mail and it took them 10 days to get it to my house then i put the 12 gram in it and it leaked out of the quick change i sent it back because the sealing o-ring in the quick changer was defective so after another 10 days of waiting i got it and it worked but they sent me a black one ace paintball sucks
