Anyone know where i could find a vision eye to get installed. I have the new body with a slot for it, so i won't need a new body. I think the place that has genesis boards does it for 300... But i was looking for like just the eye or something. Has smart parts came out with that?

knux, i am looking at getting an impulse soon. do you think it is worth the extra $150 to get the ACE?
BTW, try calling up smart parts. i've read mixed reports of whether or not they will install an ACE.
i got this off the smart parts site:
New for fall of 2001 all Impulse markers will ship Vision ready, just add on the Vision electronics package at your local Smart Parts authorized dealer.

Im thinking it definitely is. But I would sooner get a Warp feed so I could shoot with my gun tilted.

ACE = Anti Chop Eye, its a more common name for the vision eye.

An antichop eye will stop the bolt long enough for a ball to fall if it should happen that a ball isn't fully fed. In this unlikely event if no antichop eye is present there will be a chop.

there was this one place that sold it for $300, i remember seeing the site over at pbnation, but i forget the url, sorry.
the only other choice is to contact smart parts, i would think that the price would range from $200-$300 whereever you go though

how much would a newer impulse body cost, cause i'm thinking about getting the genesis vision and installing it myself and i want a body precut for the ACE. cause my body is older :(
not all Impulses can be "drop in" modified for the Vision eye.
Just having the slot in the body may not be enought. the body must also be milled to accept the daughter board and drilled and taped to hold it. the frame must also be milled.
If the body and frame are milled then the vision is a very stright forward mod. it invlolves installing a Daughter board, a new main board, an eye, and a ribon cable. This is a $200 upgrade.
