If it is going as inacurate as you claim then you probably have it installed wrong. If the balls fly consistantly to the right then loosen the pinch bolt and turn the barrel counter clockwise. (left-clockwise) If they are just going all over the place then its probably not in all the way. loosen the bolts and tapp it in with a rubber mallet like the directions say.

Its really funny, cause like 95% of the people who say the Flatline is innaccurate either have the barrel installed wrong, and the other 5% say that they have "Taken it to 5 different pro shops and they all say its in right" and they are just liars. I've used the Flatline on 7 different guns (all 98c) and all of them where accurate except for one. And he said "I took it to a pro shop and they said blah blah blah" Meanwhile. It wasn't in all the way, so when I insisted he took it to my pro shop, he got a fool made of him.
Weither it is yours or not doesn't matter. Just tell your freind who had it to try actually working on it and maybe he won't end up with it in the BoC.

I looked over this topic, and found something interesting. The interesting parts are in bold text. I just cut and pasted to make it easier.
i have used the tippmann flatline on my 98 cutom and it is very innaccurate. i mean the balls were goin atleast 90 more feet but what good is that when you can't hit anything cept trees off to the side?
Then you said in your next post:
umm... ...okay i would do that if i had one..like i said i USED it and they're the worst barrels out there imo, so thanks...and my friend had it installed correctly cause he took it to 5 diff pro shops and they all said it was installed correctly...so y dont you go read the instuctions manual all you want
So what one is it? Is it your freinds, or is it yours? OOOOO! OOOOO!!! I know. It was your freinds barrel, and he put it on your gun, and you shot it, and it didn't work right, so he took it off your gun and put it back on his then took it to the proshop, right? Or did you install it on yours, then gave it back and he got it checked? Or how about this: You installed it on yours, then your freind took it to 5 diff proshops for you out of the goodness of his heart? Which is it? Like I said: the people who say the Flatline is innaccurate: 95% of them have it installed incorrectly, and the other 5% say they had it checked and are liars. Even your statements prove that you lied at least about whose gun it was. but of course you will say you "made a mistake/mistyped." Whatever dude. Of course you had it in right. We all beleave you.
Dee
ps: Glad you know what your talking about, cause nobody else does.

I agree with dee. Look around at different forums and youll see that most people who actually have a flatline say its awsome and those people whos "friend has one" or "has tested a few" or "taken them to the proshop" say it sux. I actually OWN a flatline and i just read the directions and followed them very carefully the first time i put it on and have had no problems. Its one of the best upgrades you can buy for the M98/A5 if you have the inteligence to tighten a few screws!

Wow. I bet you regret buying that! I mean, I know all my freinds wouldn't sell me a gun that shot like crap. That's what your implying by the way. You said "I used it on my 98c" then you said "my freind took it to a pro shop" so that would imply that he took it to the proshop before you bought it, to see why it was shooting like crap. So he must have sold it to you with the flatline on it, and it must have shot like crap. Now why would you buy a gun that shoots like crap? Unless.....OH MAN! He didn't tell you it shot like crap? Oh that sucks! So you got a sucky gun AND you have a sucky freind? Man. I would beat him down!
Or of course, it could be that you bought it off a freind, tried to install it yourself, shot it twice, and put it in the BoC (Back of closet) and haven't looked at it since because you don't know how to follow directions.
Of course you installed it right. Of course you had it checked.
Face it. The flatline is super accurate WHEN INSTALLED CORRECTLY. And you complained it wasn't accurate, and someone tried to help you. Then you treated them like a retard. You have told us that it was yours, it wasn't yours, and now you tell us its yours again. Who is the retard? Everyone here knows your a liar. Maybe next time you wont treat people like they are idiots because your too stupid to just swallow your pride and admit you were wrong.

Well, there is a few things you could try: 1st, if you are installing it exactly as the directions say, try adjusting the velocity. I've heard that it works awesomly at around 280 fps.
2nd) if that doesn't work, take it to an airsmith. perferably one who works with tippmanns alot, and have him look at it. Maybe there is something that you don't realize is wrong with the barrel and/or your marker. You know, something that you just don't have the experience or the know-how to see/recognize (don't take offense, just saying that the person who uses a car doesn't know nearly as much about it as the person who is trained to fix it).
and lastly, contact Tippmann. Tell them that you have done everything to try to fix it, and ask them. Heck, they might even want you to send it in to see if it is defective or what not.

funny thing - my dad;s flatline (a5) was at like 305 and was shooting friggin straight like a bullet man... it was awesome!
i cant belive nothnig popped in it. but it was awesome. long range and no curve. he could hit everything in the target range. even the plain white ones that were almost never touched.
haha i thought 270 was good?
well that was before the day started. then my dad went to chrono , CYCLONE breaks!. he used a rental and still kicked arse

what kind of paint were you using? the 295-300 thing is a problem, it shouldn't be anything over 280, most people have them more around 270
305? wow, thats weird, most of them start chopping like nuts and shooting everywhere at that speed.
