About 3 weeks ago I ordered my BKO and a couple other items from his store. I ordered it from there due to the fact that many people on this forum reccomended his store. I ordered it with UPS shipping. A week passed and my items had still not arrived so I called the store. No answer, I left a message, waited another day, no reply. Called again, no answer. Waited yet ANOTHER day and called once more (3 days of calling) and FINALLY got an answer. Then after stating the question of when it would arrive, I was got a "matter of fact" reply of how it was on 3 week backorder. Why couldnt they have said that on the site? I was supposed to go paintballing last weekend! Now it is over 3 weeks and still no gun. I am incredibly dissapointed in this store and will not do business with them again. Thank you for your time and I hope you do not make the same mistake I did.

OK just pm SP on pbr or IM him online. So just calm down and he's probably been working on the SP mod for the BKO's. when i was ordering a regulator he was more then helpful with helping so i dont know y u did.

Just calm down? I am calm, I just want my marker. Sorry if I came across cruel or anything of that manner but I am simply dissapointed in the customer-service. Does that mean he's a bad, non helpful guy? No. Does that mean he even has overall bad customer service, no. It simply means that the performance I recieved, not you, nor your neighbor, was not very good. Sorry if I misled you.

aw crap....

i bought my BKO from shootpaint and its been 2 weeks, but the guy emailed me saying it's backordered for 2 weeks, so i'd figure it would take another week to ship it..

i emailed and called but no reply too...

what's the AIM sn or the PBR alias for the shootpaint.com mod?

Patience grasshopper.

Last time I talked to him (when I ordered my BKO) he was behind a good many Bushmasters. It's not his fault. ICD makes one for every person who orders one; just enough to sell. With the current demand for these markers, you can expect a delay of a week or two to get your marker, then a few days for shipping. You can IM him with AIM: SlickNtz to get all the info you need.

I received pretty much the same type of customer service except it only took a week for me to find out my b2k was on backorder. I've found the best way to contact them is to send a PM through this site and then they are very prompt with a reply. I ordered my stuff almost 1 month ago and have been trying for 2 1/2 weeks to make a minor change but couldn't reach them through email or on the phone. Now it might be too late to make that change (just a color change, no big deal if it gets done) but I was pretty upset at first. When you reach them, their customer service seems good (at least towards me). But, they may want to look into how they receive communications. I sent several emails that went unanswered and left two messages on their answering machine that states they will call you back but received no call. Great prices, seem like nice guys, but screwed up communication system.

Send a PM on here to ShootPaint. He sent me a message yeasterday saying they are expecting a shipment this coming week hopefully. They are have a backorder of 15 B2k but I'm not sure on how many BKO.

In Shootpaints defense, please realize that the man works a full time job, plus runs a field, plus the online paintball store, plus trying to improve the quality of BKO's in general. Not only that but also realize he can only ship out BKO's as fast as ICD ships them to him, and he will do that in the order that he has recieved orders for them. Many I have seen post on this board and others have said things similar too, I'll order mine soon/later, well that's when your name gets on the list. As soon as he gets it, he'll get it on to you.

Case in point, he currently has my BKO, or did have until yesterday when it shipped out. The most important tourney of our teams year is coming up this week on Thursday and I may not get it since I live in the stix and things often take a couple extra days to ship here. However, this is not his fault, so why bash him or his company for things that are out of his power.

Patience is a virtue well earned, look into it. I understand your upset, but bashing the man won't fix anything. I have heard many who ordered from other companys and had to wait a LOT longer than 3 weeks.

Yea what SABO said. Sh*t happens get over it. Said previosly he has a full time job, field, and online store. He's also been working on the SP mod which is going to be awesome when it comes available for BKO's

well, my gun hasnt come yet, but my problem is that i have no clue if this i was played by that company, b/c i dont really know much about shootpaint until all these posts.

i was pretty pissed b/c i literally had NO clue about my order, except for the number. and contact was pretty hard.

i just wanted to make sure that the pic is incorrect right?

b/c the pic shows the black BKO with a highrise feed, and the 2k3 they are selling right now is with a lowrise feed, thus a 2k3?

I guess that's why they call it a forum; everyone has their own point of view.

I think EvILe MiDGe has an appropriate complaint, which is unfortunately not unique to most paintball sites. Why don't these sites tell us when an item is not in stock and not ready for delivery?? I did go to shootpaint's site, and I do think it is misleading to anyone that isn't used to waiting for paintball gear. There is no mention made of BKO's on backorder, and no mention of the fact that some of the colors available on the site may not be available for months by ICD. And EvILe MiDGe did say that he tried to call. The average consumer is not going to know how to come to these forums and figure out who to PM or IM...

If an item is on backorder, that information should automatically be forwarded to the consumer so that he or she can decide whether to continue to wait, or be able to cancel their order to reorder from a different distributor. Can anybody here name just ONE other business where you give them several hundred dollars on your credit card and then not be worried when nothing comes for 3 weeks?

I was lucky to have a good experience when I bought my BKO from Rocky Mountain Sports . I called Vince (whose website said they were sold out of BKO's), & he put me on the wait list & told me to call back in a week. I called back exactly one week later, and was told he had a big shipment due in the next day. Didn't ask me for my credit card until he was ready to ship. Had my BKO in my hands 1 week later.

Another site with A+ service, Tantrum Paintball, is very good at communicating what they do and don't have in stock (for Bushy accessories). Usually get replies to my email questions in 24-48 hrs. Very fast shipping too.

My point excatly (bah, however you spell that). Another website great with customer service is countypaintball.com, the service is remarkable I pay for normal UPS and it gets here the next day. However you have to pay a bit extra for that service. Where as shootpaint.com has absolutely awsome prices. Im sorry if it seemed like i was bashing him or putting him down, i was just making a comment on the communication system.

I agree 100%, I would wonder and try to find out as well, however, my point is, that after discovering that it was on back order, bashing the company will not change the situation, but as you stated everyone has their own point of view.

I likewise had a great experience both BKO's I ordered, one of these from Shootpaint and had both within hand less than 10 days later. However, the one I ordered from shootpaint I was originally going to order from Rockymountian, (had heard a lot of good things about them and they had come recommended) the color I wanted was in stock according to their site and so just to be sure I did exactly what I have recommended to many on this forum who have IM'd me asking for advice, I called to double check; they were out of stock. Was it because they were an inadequate company, no, they simply could not ship out what they did not have. However, it would have solved nor benefited nothing for me to go to the forum and bash the company for not having out of stock on their site, (which they try to do, it was simply not up to date at the time).

Besides, Shootpaint himself has posted even on this forum that they have been back ordered.

If its just a communication problem, then why not state so in the first place, with something like "this place needs to work on their customer relations" instead of "I am incredibly dissapointed in this store and will not do business with them again." That really sounds like putting him down.

i was considering, the customer service was great, i even told them about a little checkout problem and they fixed it on their site right away.

but i went for the cheaper gun than the better cust. serv...

the gun was only 20$ more... if only i'd known, but u learn from mistakes :o

I respond to every email and every phone call I recieve.

If you are going to email us please make sure to send your emails to support@shootpaint.com

If you send them to orders@shootpaint.com they will probably get deleted from our spam filters.

If you want to call us feel free. 660-829-3999. Make sure to speak clearly and leave your phone including area code. I have someone call me three times within the last week and they dont leave their area code. There is no way for me to contact them if I dont have a area code!!!
Also when you leave your number say is clear and slow. Most people when speaking to a answering machine will rattle their number off so fast you cant make it out.

I am the only one at our shop through the week and it gets a little chaotic answering the phones and helping walkin customers.
I try to return all calls recieved within a day of the call.
I try to respond to all emails the same day they are recieved.
I try to respond to all PM's as soon as they are recieved.

If there is something I have left out or something you feel I need to address please let me know.

Just a quick cut and paste. Please note the date. Please note the response. This is the basic reply to most requesting info on the BKO at this time.

The BKO's are the most current version availible from ICD.
We are currently back ordered on all colors except purple.
It takes about two weeks to fill orders on BKO's at this time.

I just wanted you to be able to see what was happening on my side of the ball. I dont blame you for being upset your marker isnt there yet. I am upset your marker isnt there yet. This makes my company look bad when it is something I cant control. If it was something that I was doing wrong I could understand the complaint but when it is another company that is causing problems for my customers it plain pisses me off.

If you think we are not concerned about the orders call ICD and talk to Steve. Ask him how many times a week I call him to see if our markers have shipped out yet. He has recieved at least one call from me every week for the last month. I would call him on Mondays to see how the production was coming and to see if they had shipped any of our markers out.

As of last week I was told they had hired some more staff and expected to be to full production and caught up on all backorders within the next couple of weeks. I am waiting to see if this is true just like you guys.

Not only are your markers on back order but I have 7 markers on backorder for our shop sponsored teams. They get to carry around a banner that displays ICD's logo and they shoot nothing from ICD at this time.

I could get a good rant going about service, both being in your shoes as well as being on the other end and giving the answers to a concerned customer that is trying to make sure they arent getting ripped off. I would much rather be in your position then I only have to contact one person. When you are on my end you get to contact ICD then the other 40-50 people that are currently on your backorder list to let them know their markers will ship in a couple of weeks.

Now lets try this again.
Remember those customers you talked to two weeks ago and told them their markers would be delayed two weeks. Well now the manufacture is telling you that there is a problem at the anodizers and there will be another two week delay. OH GREAT ANOTHER 40-50 PHONE CALL TO CUSTOMERS THAT ARE GOING TO BE MAD CAUSE THEIR MARKERS ARENT THERE.

Well two weeks later a box shows up marker from ICD!!! SWEET!!!! The backordered markers are here. You open the box and you peer inside like a child venturing into his first candy store. You see the biggest and juiciest piece of chocolate you have ever seen. You mouth just waters for it. Then as you step up to the counter to purchase it the person in front of you takes it. DAMMIT!!!! Now we have to wait again.

Guess what now I have to call again. Not only do I have to call 40-50 people now I get to call more. The reason being. The orders for the marker have increased. We have more orders come in than we did markers. Our back order list that was 40-50 long is now upwards of 60.

Oh the joy of being a shop owner!

My point is, I pride myself on being customer oriented.
I will make all the calls I can and talk with anyone that I can to get the items I need for my customers. If I need to be more customer oriented I will just have to leave my personal cell number as well :D

WOW!!!! That is the most impressive post I have read....EVER! To be man enough to sees ones own faults, even when they were seemingly justifiable, well WOW is all I can say. I really do hate to hear about your family issue, I've been there and know that pain first hand and no words can make it lesson or go away and I'll be praying for you and your folks. But like I said, you're awesome for the way that you handled that.

i went the normal cynic person's way, :

no reply to emails
no shipment came

i'd figure that i was scammed, but now i know, its basically ICD's manufacturing system's fault of sending one per order..

well hope u forgive me for all those emails i sent you,, u dont need to reply to those to reduce some work.

hehe i also sent an email from a diff addy to see if he was just ignoring me (but that was before i knew the problem)

The only way I can promise you a marker by the end of the month is if you want the Purple Diamond milled BKO I have in stock. That is the only BKO I can promise you will have by the end of the month.

Things may change come Monday when I get a chance to talk to ICD some more but that is the best I can offer you right now.

evil midge suck it man, stop being such a baby, my parents divorced when i was in first grade. and stop feeling so bad you didnt say anything mean, when i order 100+ dollars worth of stuff and i orderd it from a-1 paintball.com , it didnt come for over 6 weeks, and it finally never came, i called every day after 2 weeks passed they neve answered the phone, never answered emails and i could tell the yhad no means of sending my stuff or money to me, becuase they only did it after i called the paypal police... so stop being that way...

What is your problem man? So he is a baby because he doesnt want his parents to split up? You know some people care about their family and parents staying together...obviously these "baby" things are not important to you.

You know that last time you put your pb equipment away; I think you stashed your human decency in there too. You might want to get that one back out and see if it is in shape or in need of some major repair. I'm guessing the latter.

Hey Evil,

Sorry about your parents. I wouldn't wish a divorce on any family. It devastated mine. We are all about over it, but it's taken about 5+ years to put it all behind us. Seek out good friends and extended family for support. You don't have to deal with it all alone.

Back to the original subject...

Ordering from an online store can be pretty frustrating. I've found the best way to get want you want in a timely manner is to always call the store first to verify if they have the items in stock. That way, if they don't, I just go elsewhere until I find what I need. This alleviates any stress induced by not knowing when you'll get your stuff. Unfortunately, some things you will just have to wait for, like the BKO.

I ordered my barrel about 4 days ago and when you posted your situation I figured mine was out of stock also. Well i sent a PM to ShootPaint and he said they if it isnt already shipped out then it would be on back order. He also said that it normally takes 3 days to get CP stuff in...you might want to contact ShootPaint about your order.

Not to name one of those "other" competitor sites, they have stuff listed as "out of stock" on their web store. I'm not sure how hard that would be to add, since I'm still learning web scripting and SQL databases... but it might be a thought. There should be an easy admin screen to just type in current stock orders or something. Automation can always get expensive though :o

BTW-- it took me 2 weeks to get my marker from ICD direct, and I paid the full $300 -- so don't whine too much LOL. Their support was friendly, but slow.

Also... I'm sorry to hear about your parents Evil. My parents divorced 2-3 years ago (I'm 30 now though :o), and it can be tough. You dont even realize it sometimes, but stuff really sits on you differently. At my age, I didnt think it bothered me at all, but at times I realized it did. Not to mention, just the logistics of the whole thing. Now you have twice as many places to go for holidays, and next thing you know you have step parents and other siblings and blah. Its just alot more work for the kids, unfortunately, but it can actually be a very good thing in alot of ways also, depending on how you look at it and your specific situation.
