Can an Impulse use CO2?
pr0kch0p

yeah, they are made to run on co2. but you have to use anti-siphoned co2 or else you're gonna freeze up the max-flo.

Can I get a anti siphon adaprot cuz I have 4 tanks but they are all normal tanks. And will my cp drop hold the max flow? I was looking at mags but a mag w/barrel and ex. chamber in black is $500 and an Impy is olny $400 so I'm going for the Impy:D

Impy will work on co2 (anti-siphon). I wouldn't even try to use a mag with co2. n2 is always the BEST choice though. Once you have used n2, you won't want to see another co2 tank. Too bad for me. I don't have n2 YET.
BOBO2
08-19-2001, 01:13 PM
Yah I cant afford n2 and the mag setup I want would cost like $150 more than an Impy and an Impy can run on CO2 so Impy is the choise for me.

Do Impys take shocker gaget fore grips?
pr0kch0p
08-19-2001, 01:57 PM
yeah, but you need a vert adapter.
order your imp from www.e-paintballoutlet.com
the owner will set it up exactly how you want it and install any upgrades you want before he ships it out and test it to make sure it works. i think you have to call to order though, which is a good idea anyways.

That sight is crappy it's all screwed up. Do they take shocker barrels? And do they make a spyder to shocker barrel adaptor.

just take your regular tanks to a paintball shop and they will make them anti-siphon for around $10 each. All anti-siphon tanks are is regular tanks witha little tube in them, so the guy at the shop just has to take the valve off and put the tube in the right spot and then put the valve back, it's super easy but it has to be professionally done. oh and make sure you bring your marker with you to the store cause the tube has to be in the right spot.

yes the site kinda sucks, but it shows you the basics of what they have to offer. i strongly suggest ordering your imp from that site though.
impulses take impulse barrels. they dont make barrel adaptors as far as i know, but the stock barrel is a smart parts progressive so its pretty decent.
companies that make impulse barrels: j&j, dye, and smart parts. there are also rumors of custom products making impulse barrels in the future too.

Will my cp drop hold the max flow? Here is the setup I'm getting: Impulse w/red kapp fore grip 32 degrees red stickys, CP drop?, 12 inch red front freak kit. Is this good? I'm getting my tanks set up for anti siphon tomorrow.

you can't use shocker GG for the impulse. you need a gas thru GG. you can mount your maxflow on drop forwards. i've done it. freak is best barrel you can get. you need on/off and antisyphon. happy shootin.
pr0kch0p
08-19-2001, 07:43 PM
you'll also need a vert adapter for the foregrip
here is the link to a great store where you can purchase one: http://www.countypaintball.com/product_description.asp?item=1757
yeah, that sounds like a good setup. but FOM (owner of www.e-paintballoutlet.com) reccomends a blade trigger. they are $25 for the eclipse model which can be found at www.g3pb.com or $38 for the wermstick model which can be found at www.wermmods.com . he says that they can increase your rate of fire and thouroughly improve the feel of your trigger. its the best upgrade you can get besides the vision eye, of course :D and they are fully adjustable as well.

Alright I'll work on the trigger but not this very moment. What do you mean by on-off? I'm ordering in 5 days when my old tippy sells on ebay. I'm getting every thing from firstcallpaintball.com they have pretty good prices and I like the service there.

he means this: http://www.countypaintball.com/product_description.asp?item=1071
i would suggest that you rethink your decision, FOM at www.e-paintballoutlet.com will setup everything that you order, make sure its working, and probably can match most prices at firstcallpaintball.com i know their prices are very similar, its just that e-paintballoutlet takes their service one step further by installing everything and making sure it works correctly.
ask Knux about it, he ordered his imp from them.

I can get what I listed for about $458 at first call(except the freak I'm getting it later) plus I don't like the sight I cant order from it it doesnt work right. And what does the on off do for my gun? What would be better using the maxflow w/ a drop or using a drop w/on-off?
pr0kch0p
08-19-2001, 10:14 PM
if the max-flo is charged up too fast it may have problems, so the on/off allows the air to be inserted slowly and the max-flo is kept intact.
its hard to use the bottomline max flow with a drop foward that has an asa because you have mount the max-flo kind wierd on it, but it can be done. the on/off valve is only like $15, while an on/off drop foward will cost a lot more than that.
read through the imp FAQ for further information

I can take the ASA off and use just the drop or I can take off the maxflow and use the drop w/asa.

Yes i reccomend getting it off www.e-paintballoutlet.com The guy there is real cool. He even offered to hold it and take it to me at the michigan monster game.
You need a blade. I reviewed it on www.impulseownersonline.com Its the 2nd best upgrade you can get. He sets it the lightest you can get *mouse click* without it going off by ont touching the trigger. He even sets you dwell to the right amount.
He'll give you the Kapp gas through and vertical adaptor for only 30 dollars more if you order the base mount regular impulse.
I have a shocktech df. It works good also.
I got a delrin bolt from him too. Its 2 dollars cheaper than at wermmods. However, its not needed like te blade is. It depends if the kick bothers you, and the maitenence bothers you.
I suggest that site to you dude... First call is the same price as e-paintballoutlet. I know the site looks shabby, but he's reliable.

Yeh i just got anti siphon, and it helps alot. No more freezing up (enless you turn the gun facing down and fire 40 times.
ON/OFF helps prolong the life of your o rings in your maz flow, and doesnt risk the chance of blowing your solenoid.

You cannot use a shocker gadget grip, and if you get a GG that is made specifically for the Impy, it includes the vert adapter.

ok he means an on/off valve for the co2 tank. i installed my antisyphon and on/off valve myself. but you shouldn't unless ur sure u can do it. knux u did the blade review? that's sweet, i just hooked up my blade last week. it kicks *** except it was hard find such a small allen key.

However their prices will delight!!! Hey someones got pay for those fancy, smancy websites but it ain't gonna be me I'd rather order my stuff from www.E-PaintballOutlet.com and save so much money that I can order again, and I DID! Yeah two Imp's thanks to FOM! If he's spending money for a sweet lookin website he'd have to up his prices to cover the cost, Truckers will tell ya some of their best meals come outta the crappiest lookin greasey spoons along their trips, And the best line yet, Don't judge a book by it's cover! Remember the "E" stands for extra savings to You!

I really would appreciate it if FOM could fix the text formatting because the paragraphs overlap and create and illegible blur of letters and makes it near impossible to read.

yea, e-paintballoutlet is great. May not look great and the prices arent THE lowest (but their still pretty damn low) but the reliability is worth paying a few extra bucks.
If you want to put the flame drop on, why not get an impulse with the Vertical max-flow?
