AT THIS RATE IN 2 YEARS WE WILL BE # 1 OR 2..............PAINTBALLIN IS THE BOMB

Ded
02-23-2001, 06:16 PM
man but motorcross is really expensive so that'll be gone and way too many people get hurt, skateboarding is dumb because you can't even see what your doing and I don't see how anybody could get any gratification out of that, and bmx is boring(isn't that the mountain bike stuff, like races) We're movin' on up.

ps did you really ban that *******?

I was doing motocross in the early 70's to mid.Its a sport that not going to die off.I might cost alot more to get into it but then after your set up its entry fee's fuel cost etc.Paint ball doesn't cost as much. But then people look at paintball diffrent than motocross.Motocross you don't shoot other people etc. There looking at all the schools having shoot outs etc. Some feel the sport just drives too wanting too do it for real. My thinking about that subject is BS. But still anti gun laws etc now adays slows this sport down.

man......if paintballin is da 4th....how come snowboarding and everything is on espn and in the olympics while paintball is just a reg alt. sport?!? i really think paintballin is gonna be part of olympics soon. but u think julius ceaser or da roman empire or whoever started da olympics......u think they ever thought dat a sport with guns and capsules of paint would be included in the olympics?!? shoot. i'd choose paintball over javelin or discus anyday. what do those people find so exhilarating about throwin a stick or a frisbee?

A damn fool
02-28-2001, 05:50 PM
i saw paintball one time on espn. U know what other alternative sport is awsome, wakebarding. I like it better then snowboarding, and u can do it for longer parts of the eyar. I go form april to october.

I read somewhere that as far as alternative sports go, paintballing is right below snowboarding. That's pretty good. If any of you snowboard, you recall that snowboarding took a long time to get national attention. People thought it was just a fad - that it would die out. Now, it's an Olympic event. I don't think very many people know about paintball. It's just a matter of time before paintball get's recognition - then, you never know.

Paintball will never be an olympic event. Even if it does become widely accepted, it's too equipment oriented, pretty much every olympic event uses as little mechanical force as possible, most of it is driven by the athletes, and unless you can throw at 300 fps, you wont be in the olympics. It's a great idea though :)

the owner of the local paintball store said paintball might be in the next olypics. but you raise a good point twitcho, i don't know how they'd make up for the difference in equipment. by the way skateboarding is tight too. nobody has stood up for it yet, skateboarding and paintball are the two things that get my adrenaline going most.

snowboarding is tight, and i live about 2hrs away from lake tahoe so its pretty close. but i can see how paintball is moving up, for about 2 yrs my focus on skateboarding followed by snowboarding, since i started paintball, it's held the number one postion.

snowboarding is tight I went on a little tour over springbreak. Vail, breckonridge, and coppermountain BABY!!! And paintball becoming an olimpic sport I don't think will happen anytime soon. The olimpic commitee will just say ohh its a fad in the U.S. and Canadia. To be an olimpic sport its gotta be insanly international. One of the reasons snowboarding picked up in the olympics is cuz of Japan. American football is a good examlpe. Its extremly a U.S. thing it ain't international. Dats just my opinion.

04-10-2001, 02:12 PM
On page 1 somebody said in skateboarding that u can't see what your doing that is ssssssssooooooooooo not true. Unless u have a pot belly. I never snowboarded afore i ski though been to Breckinridge.(By the way it was a 6 hour flight worth it too).Anyways don't be dissin sk8boarding my cousin was in the amatuere sk8boarding circuit(right below the pro's)Now he owns a skate and pb shop. On the thing beside your name do u change from newbie to Novice and get more paintballs when u make more replies and posts?

simon woodstock

yeah man, I know a friend that had to quit pball just cause he diddnt have the time. I mean he diddnt have any other sports, he jsut didn't have time with school and work, and a girlfriend to do it anymore. I feel sorry for the poor guy. I'd ditch the girl!
