I have a Tippmann 98 Custom with a Ricochet 2k hopper and a bunch of other upgrades...when I shot it over 9 balls per second it jams up (the cocking thing)it is all lubed up and well maintained...If nebody could help.......that would be great...

i will cock it back........during the game in a big battle........i will shoot up to about 9 balls per second and the cocking thing will go forward a bit but not come back.......usually it goes forward a bit and goes back.....but after i shoot to fast it like jams up and doesn't go back...then i have to recock it

just replaced them a week ago.........and its all good inside
it just doesn't cock forward and back all the time when i shoot fast

i have no clue what it is.......all i know is that it shoots fine.....and i am getting rid of it.........still need a couple hundred bucks to pay off the angel speed

Do you use CO2?
Did your gun gets reallllly cool after it shop?

yes i use C02.....but it stays the same temperature....it just will go forward like usuall a bit after you shoot then it goes back real quick to where it is supposed to be....when i get shooting to fast it will stay in between and i cannot shoot

there is one right down the street from me (R&M Paintball) but there is no use in bringing it there....if i sell it i will just say if u shoot a bit too fast u may have to recock the gun once in awhile...why spend $20 on finding the problem.....labor for fixing it and cost of parts needed to be fixed

CO2 is the problem, I guess.
Try to shoot it with a HPA tank next time. That shouldn't happen again.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the gun.
Just CO2 freeze up the gun when you shoot too fast.

It could, I guess.
I never shoot that fast when I use CO2.
Most CO2 gunners have an expansion chamber, or run off of a remote, install an antisiphon, or actually use a regulator.
He doesn't has any, so it could be the problem.

my velocity is at 400 fps....that is our woodzball velocity limit......that ain't too much....there could be a minor leak in the hose or gas chamber inside causeing the gun to freeze up when i shoot to fast

lol........that is only at one of our crappy fields that has so much brush if we use a high enough velocity that the balls go right through the weeds and stuff...

they all suck so bad though......more then half of them had pumps......a few had tippys......1 had an autococker.......and the rest had like spyders and brass eagles

i have an expansion chamber.....run off remote line......and have a rt.(disconnected like 3 days ago)...now telling me that i'm bsing u guys don't help it....u guys think what u wanna think...i just don't want trouble......and with the 400fps deal......we do play like that.....and when i play like that i use a 20'' freak so it does go strait......friends say it hurtz like a biznitch too...lol

Interestingly enough, Smartparts doesn't make a 20" freak, nor have they ever. In addition, it is physicaly imposable to get paint to fly straight at that high a velocity. (300-325 is the best you can do before you start getting the knuckleball wobbling effect) Baring that, even if you could get it to go strait, paint would break on twigs and brush if going that fast.

Anyway, if you continue to use a remote, don't use an Anti-siphon. It becomes a siphon.

Recock problems when firing fast is due to shootdown of CO2. The tank may not feel that much colder, but if you're on the edge, just a slight difference is enough to cause the problem.

If you want help, just be honest. There's nothing wrong with asking questions (Even the mods do it), and no one will think the lesser of you for it.

about the 40v1 event.......what i didn't tell u guys is i lost the first 8 times...lol....i have a 18'' Freak for a spyder i bout off a friend and a 2'' barrel adapter for tippmann->spyder

lol.......don't freak out.........my head hurtz bad enough-i jump off my firends roof slipped on the ground,hit my head on a stump and was knocked out for over a minute...and it still hertz......it is like 2 times everyy 3 years...i haven't played there in 2 years allready.......we just get a couple of kidz who think they r better then us every once in awhile...let them talk thier smack.....we own them....then we talk our smack...........its an organized way of paintball in a bad way......lol.....its fun though

400 fps is true too...one of our friends has a fps meter thing to see how fast the fps is.....all of them were from 390 to 410....1 kid had 413...i had 401...

40v1 thing was more like 15v1.......all i did is sat in a tree and waited for people to walk by....then i shottem ......it was actually pretty hard the first 8 times until i thought of hiding in a tree....sooo i overexaggerated a bit......but it was true for the most part
