AS I think about it...
PBreview.com has many, many users spanning the entire country.
We could make a monthly, bi-monthly, or weekly newletter about events, one for rec/scenario and another for tournament, REAL tactics, etc.
Just an idea to toss around, many PB magazines don't have the capability to go all across the country like we do.

PaintballerX is a pretty good writer, and I don't think he'd mind writing an article or two, I could talk to him about it. I could probably write something for it every once in awhile. But yeah, sounds like a pretty good idea. Keep us updated as you work out some details.

Just what I'd like to see included for the recreational magazine:
* Review Section
* Tactics Section (Cadet or I could handle that)
* Scenario Games (about them, w/pics if possible)
* Letters to Us
* Thoughts and Opinions
* Stupid Comics or Pics
* Upcoming Scenarios and Big Games
Just my thoughts, the Tournament and Speedball crowd can do what they want, I'm not sure what they would need in a magazine.
I guess we could incure a fee of like $12.00 ($1.00/mo) to cover costs of aquiring gear to review if need be, pay anyone for articles, or something...not sure, we'd have to see first.

Or, you make it online, and then it could be free :eek: And I'd imagine we have a member that would write up a review article for gear they have...

I was tihnking that...but then I'd have to or someone would have to use money out of pocket to do gear reviews (on the other hand, if we get a lot of people, then we could just ask a company for a batch or test gun).
I'll run it by Andrew

I'm still a contracted writer with Direct Paintball, so until that contract runs out I'm not sure I could write for anywhere else.
This sounds like a pretty cool idea though, one I'd love to be a part of. Somebody talk to Andrew about it. It could definitely work.

I can only do rec, that's why I proposed two seperate ones, one for rec guys and one for speed and tourny stuff so there aren't any complaints about "more rec" or "not enough speed" etc. And you don't have to sift through bullcrap your don't read.

I read everything in magazines...even the ads(LoL) but do half rec and half tourny, cause some people like rec, but they like reading about the tourny's, and some people like airball/speedball, but reading the rec ball stuff.

That's actually a pretty cool idea. I think Andrew is away on vacation right now, but why don't you run it by him when he gets back?

Hey magnus55, what would you suggest in the newsletter/magazine? Rec? Tourny's? Both?
(finally, ive got 900 posts...)
I'd rather see everything. Gives you a bigger selection, not to mention would bring in more sales.
Just make sure it isn't a newb. one like APG

Drop the cost thing then...
Soon as Andrew gets back and if I get approval, I'll get it rolling.
