hey i just got back from a 3 man tourny and we came in third WOOO! Any way, in the last game we played, we were playing against the best team there and we knew we were beat and then i ran out of air. so i decided to suicide it and go for the flag(we were no were near the flag at the time) so i drop my gun and take off i grab the flag and almost get the hang. then i find out that we do not get the points for the pull because i did not have my gun with me when i pulled the flag. no one had ever heard of this rule before and i was wondering if every one plays by that rule or if it is some field rule. i was all mad because i made and awesome run.

I've heard that rule before; I believe I read it in a paintball magazine.

That is a rule in every tourney, you should have been eliminated once you were 5 feet away from your marker. You have to have all your equiptment with you at all times, like your marker, and pack, only things you can leave behind are squeegies and pods.

I would pretended my gun is still loaded and make it look like it was loaded. People sometimes shoot all over the place when they know they'll be shot at. And do that while you were going for the flag incase you got spotted

[insert harsh comment here]

nah, but reading the rulebook is one of the most important things, so you know when to argue a call, and when not to.

Every different tournament is pretty much either required to have a written set of rules, or to clearly explain them at the tourney.
