I read somehwere that you can't use regular oil on intimidators, so you have to use grease, like for a shocker. then, I read somewhere else, that the maintenence for a timmy was basically just oiling it (regular gun oil)... so now I'm pretty much FREAKIN CONFUSED :D
So... do timmies take regular gun oil? or some nasty grease?
Thanks

after a while the oil will start to clog stuff like vavles and stuff. i dont think you would want that to happen.

Nope, but I dont' have a timmy yet either... just thinking about it :)
So, why does the oil clog the valves, but the grease doesn't?

oil doesnt say put when you apply the stuff. after you fire a few rounds oil is all over the place. grease on the other hand is thick and stays in the location you apply it too.
And now is a good time to get a timmy, they're on sale.

Oil gets into solenoid, solenoid dies, gun stops working. Grease on the other hand, as was already mentioned doesnt blow all over the place and get into the solenoid. The poppet valve itself is ok since you have to grease the poppet every once in a while anyhow

Besides, grease is more fun to work with. You get to smear it with your fingers. :) I just took my Timmy apart today and re-lubed it. What fun!
Dow 33 Shocker Grease also works very well.

If you look through the manual, it shows you what parts to lube, etc.
