I saw a pb movie from fon.com called N.Y. Dogs vs. Exile. This guy from the Dogs pulled the craziest trick that I have never seen before and it worked. Ok there was one guy left on the Dogs and He stood up gun over head like he was out, the ramaining three from Exile run in to grab the flag thinking the guy is out, In a split second the last guy snapped his gun shot each like five imes one after another. One of the Exile guys after being shot yelled "what the hell are you doing!!!!!" and the ref yelled "its good, its a walk away, your all out" So the ramaining guy tricked them into thinking he was out and shot them all when running for the flag and it worked! I guess its called a "Walk away" as the ref said. Maybe you guys have heard of this but I couldnt believe it watching it the first time. I sudgest you guys should download this movie from www.forceofnature.com and see it for yourself.
Dead Mans Walk. Usually never works. But in that case, thats what exile gets for not bonus balling him. :P

Yeah in the vid, everyone got bonus balled. It shows a guy walkin away hand on head and about five splatts apear on his back and he doesnt even flinch. I dont know, the way I play when I get bonus balled I get pissed off.
some local boys Total Eclispe did it in nov, they were down 6-2 but lost by one

True, but I think most people will agree that it is cheap.

Has anyone seen the dynasty vs. strange vid on forcesofnature? Oliver Lang gets hit in the face. Bright orange paint right in the mouth. He keeps playing. He had to have wiped it because at the end of the game it's not on his mask. Anyone else notice that?
Nope, by the rules he was out on a self call. Anytime you walk away from a bunker in full view of the other team and judges, WITH YOUR MARKER ABOVE YOUR HEAD TO INDICATE THAT YOU ARE OUT, you cannot resume play. It is the same as feeling a good hit, standing with your gun UP, then realizing it was a bounce. You are still out of play with a self call.
A Dead Man's walk is when you walk away from the bunker in full view of the other team and judges, WITH YOUR MARKER AND HANDS AT DOWN YOUR SIDE. No indication of being out, you are still a viable player and can shoot.
The ref was big time wrong on this one.
2003 NPPL rules:
10.27. Players that take action which would cause members of the opposing team to reasonablebelieve that such players have been eliminated, including but not limited to calling themselves out or hit, hiding the armbands, holding the markers in positions above the shoulders, placing objects in the barrelsof the markers and carrying them in view of members of the opposing teams or walking in groups of eliminated players, will be eliminated.
OK, I took the first post for what it said ("...He stood up gun over head like he was out, the ramaining three from Exile run in to grab the flag thinking the guy is out,...).
However, I just watched the video closely, and you cannot see him until he already OUT of the bunker, with his marker at his side. THAT is totally legal, and a smooth move too.

Tournament paintball is cheap.
A dead man's walk is fine by me. If I'm too stupid to have it happen to me, then I deserve it.

I did, he got shot, but then was playing on, maybe a ref thought it was splatter and wiped it away though. Either way, that game rocked... remember when Angel bunkered that dude at the snake, hott stuff.

Well at touraments we usually put a few balls into someone to make sure that they're out if their gun isn't up or i see their armband still on.
It works wonders against the dead mans walk, it really does. And if you think it's cheap...you must just be stupid enough to have let it happened to you.

thats how it is all over...ive tried it before, i got about 15 shots into me before i did anything...so i dont think i'll try it again anytime soon
but after the game...i had 2 people walk up to me and apologize for the bonus balls after i was out...so they were convinced

Oh, after watching the video a second time his gun wasnt in the air, I guess i remembered it wrong. But it was cool cause it was a perfect time for the trick. A Exile team mamber ran up to the other side of his buker and the ref yelled "stand up if your dead and go to the dead box" so the guy stood up walking away very calm. Someone yelled "Lets sweep Exile Sweep!" So they alll went to clear the rest of the field thinking everyone was out, they went for the flag. And then got lit up. Download this video guys its jam packed with bunkerings and crazy dives/slides whatever, its great, definately the best ive seen.

i just don't really see the appeal of walking out in front of the whole other team with no cover when your not out.

That is an old video. Probably was not covered by the new 2003 nppl rules. IT was in 2001 or 2002 I think. I am to lazy to check. When I first saw that video, I had to watch it 10 times. Who's an exile? Who's an exile?

In scenarios and woods, people try this all the time.
I simply shoot them once and make sure it breaks or check them carefully.
BTW, if they say they're out of paint/air, keep shooting...

2001 rules:

As you can see, good rules are always meant to be:)
