I have been looking at guns for a while, Autocockers and Mags mainly... but I've seen the Impulses and really like them. I was just wondering if I should get an Impulse with a Gas Thru-Grip or the Automag package at pbgear.com that comes with Nitro, etc for $499 (About 599 when I add Powerfeed and black finish). I am not 100% familiar with complex guns, thats why I kind of shed away from the Autococker... but I am willing to learn too. What adavantages might the Impulse have over the Mag or vise-versa? And which gun would probably be the best all around rec and speedball gun? Thanks for your input,

-Jon

Oh yeah, anyone know how much the Eclipse Impulses cost? They look awesome!

Hey You're in a Impulse forum! What do you think we're gonna say? Do you go to Burger King and ask "Should I get a Whopper or a Big Mac?" Come on, Go to the Autococker forum and ask them and then to the Mag forums, I went thru this same quest and it was on the reviews here at pbreview by reading and comparing that I found my answers (and what my wallet told me too) Check out this link www.E-PaintballOutlet.com and come back here with your new Impulse and tell us how happy you are that you made the right choice!

with out a doubt get an impulse, and if you are going to get a mag dont get ripped off by pbgear or sumthin get a usesd one that would be way nicer for much cheaper. liek this one is being sold for about $400 and its way better than that other imp, but u would have to run n2 with a mag. . .

:pissed: You don't need to run n2 with a mag. I never have, and have never had a problem in over 7 years of owning my mag. Mags were designed for co2.

Like any paintball gun, they do not like liquid co2, and will run cleaner on n2, but co2 works fine for a mag.:pissed:

The mags and co2 are bad thing is a MYTH and I'm sick of hearing it.

before you argue with me about this please read this- http://www.automags.org/ubb/Forum4/HTML/000008.html

Depends on what you like, Try out a mag (mechanical) and an imp (electro) and see which field of markers you enjoy more.

Get a Impulse. It's an electro and that makes it so much better when shooting. A Mag might be not as complex as the Impulse but the Imp is worth it.

An Impulse is not complex at all in my opinion.

impulse has a stacked tube almost blowback design

Also, my mag on CO2 stunk it up, even on Vert bottle

If you buy a mag, go used
