i was wondering what kind of x chamber i should get for my tippy custom. any thoughts?
my setup:
tippy custom
double trigger
tear drod barrel
rt kit
full boar rear cocking system with beavertail
20 oz c02 tank

It sounds like you all ready have a very nice set-up. So a X-chamber will really make it work. I have a Tippmann X-chamber and it get the work done. But more people seem the get the Dead On X-Core 8 stage X-Chamber. It's cheap and has 8 stages, which gives the Co2 more room to expand.

you should just get your tank anti-siphoned (this is coming from a guy with an x-cor 8 stage). that will keep all liquid CO2 out of your gun, if installed properly. This also allows you to skip the installation of the dreaded vertical adapter.

but if you want an xchamber, go for the dead on 8 stage xcore, or the sub zero 6 stage

the more stages you have the better chance you have of not getting liquid in your marker. I had a 4 stage and never had any problems way back when. But by all means if you can afford more than 4 go for it. It can only get better :)

i was talkin' to a friend yesterday and he said that i couldn't put an x chamber on if i have a response put in is that true?

an x-chamber is mostly just hype I know people will say they noticed a great increase in performance. I say bull **** i have had many experiances with em and they really dont work so just save up and get a regulator or save up and get a used N2 tank
