i am going to get a dropforward, and i want to know if i can just put my bottom line on the dropforward, or do i have to get an on/off thing?

and do i also have to get a new hose for it too?

new hose depends on how big the drop is.

what drop are you getting?

a new designz universal drop forward from www.pbgear.com

it goes 7in forward and 2.5in down

you probably will need a new hose for that big of a drop but i wouldn't buy the hose until after

but i keep on telling people just make your own drop it only costs 3 bucks....but no i would rather spend 30 on a drop

Tipp: How can you make your own? I just got a spyder compact 2000 and would love to make my own.

1)go to a hardwear store
2) buy a piece of flat bar
3) file off the coating
4)cut it to the length that you want
5) bend it into the drop shape with a hammer and a hard surface
6) make sure its the right size
7) drill your holes
8) mount it
9) spray paint it

It might take a couple tries but you get a meter(or 3 feet) so its fine

thats about the best i can explain it, but you should be able to understand it once you start doing it if you dont understand it right now

some people are just too lazy to make one, like myself.

whats even worse is stereotypes within our own country. Like if you go out west, if you tell people that your from any east coast state they automatically think your a city slicker. Then just to stop that i always told em that i was born out west and used to live there. HA!

oh yea if you want a really cheap drop, just turn your ASA around.

Sure, you *could* make your own drop, but some people would prefer to have something that actually looks good on the marker they paid $800 for. Sure, it's *possible* to play paintball with $110 worth of equipment, but there's a point when fashion and function can combine.

Good God why would you want a drop that big? let me explain something to you.

When paintball first got going with speedball and all that, short barrels and long drops were the thing. As the sport progressed and the experienced tourney players learned more about how to play better, they changed their setups. Now its 16" inch barrels and tiny to sometimes no drop at all.

a drop THAT long will be more of a hindrance than anything else, making your gun a few inches taller. the extra height combined with the unnatural position you will have to be in to shoot your marker will hinder your aim, at least until you get used to it. And believe me, if you switched over to a shorter drop, your aim would still be off for a little while. But once you got used to it, your aim would be better than it ever could have been with the other drop.

You can just say its all preference, and it almost is, but with a better line of site, more reasonable weight distribution (balance), and a more comfortable position (I think), you can aim and snap shoot easier.

this is what your drop will look like if you make it the way I told you too...depending on the color paint you choose

admit you just wanted to post a pic of your cocker...;)

well i got my drop from pbgear for 30 if i remember correctly, and its perfect. its a drop/cradle so you dont need your asa, just a longer hose. maybe not though, because mine still fit.
