Ok i think i asked this question somewhere in this forum but have lost it, so im posting it again - sorry if this is annoying.

What is considered the best spyder for value for money?

Little tip : I live in the UK dont give me any prices in US$ cos they mean nothing to me :D Just tell me why its the best.

Thanks!!

Spyder Compact.

If you want an anno job, get the Java edition. By far the best value.

ya i agree, there is not point in buying the extra stuff that kingman puts on there because youd be better off buying that same stuff from aftermarket companies and end up with a much better gun. i had a shutter though :P but my dad bought it so it wasnt my money i liked it alot. i have sold it though and am getting a SWEEET bushy. . . .

The Compact or the xtra. You can find xtras at wal-mart, but they are good guns, pluss they come with center feed and other options... and they are cheap. But if you dont have the extra money for an extra... get the compact

Are there any kind problems with the compact or extra? Not big ones just like wonky sight rail? :)

Oh and whats the best barrel for them? Dont want to be playing with a stock if i can help it. Also do they run on HPA or Co2? Cos i think the field i play at only has Co2.

No, no problems. Yes, they'll run fine on both air sources. A good barrel would be the CP, Lapco Bigshot, or one of the DYE barrels. Haven't had much experience with J&J, but from what I've heard, they're good.

I would say go for the Compact 2000. You are planning on getting a bunch of new stuff anyways, so this is the cheapest way to go imo. They go for bout 80bucks new.. or cheaper. Yes, you can run CO2 and/or HPA on spyders, there is no problem with that at all. 1st things 1st, replace that stock barrel. I recomend CP (custom parts) either a 12" or 14".

If your unsure on barrel legnth and what paint to choose for your barrel go to the paint and barrel forum and read the two threads stickied to the top. As for a barrel I would recommend get a CP. You can buy them in any bore size to match your field paint.

In my Compact manual it says: "Shoot ONLY C02 through this marker."

Hmmmm... I never got a manual with my Compact 2000 when I got it... Anyways, N2 will run fine off of it. They said to use CO2, more than likely, because a Spyder running off N2 isn't very common (Mainly, less than half the Spyders in the world are running N2 probably...). They're probably fearful that you'd run your gun off propane or something. :D ;)

Compact 2000 or Xtra. If you want to upgrade mostly everything get the compact but if your only planning on upgrading a few things (barrel, N2 Tank) get the Xtra and even later on if you decide to upgrade that you can!

probably because for the most part the tank costs as much as or more than the gun:laugh:
