Im a newbe to impys and I was wondering, by setting the dwell you do increase shots from your tank? I have a 68/3k and Im finding my self running out of air during games. Also, any other suggestions to do about the air problem. Please, dont tell me to get a 4500 tank because Im saving up for the was board.

Running out of air? With an Impulse and 68/3k?

I usually get 6 pods and a hopper off that same setup(w/ tapeworm) How much paint are you expecting to shoot?!

Dwell is the time a valve opens to let air out. It is measured in ms and not noticable by ear. More air let out=lower efficiency=less shots per tank.

Therefore, you must have a really high dwell. Try decreasing your dwell by pushing the dwell button closest to you(while holding the marker in shooting position) and increasing your maxflow pressure. (BE CAREFUL not to turn your maxflow above 200!)

well put Triumph001,

Here's a little more for you...

Generaly, the shorter the dwell, the more efficient the gun is. It is a little bit different with the lpr though, because you have to take into consideration the adjustable pressure.

As long as you don't have an LPR the simplest way to set your input pressure and dwell is:
1. Turn your Maxflow up to around 170-190.
2. Adjust your dwell accordingly to reach about 275-290 fps.
3. After your dwell is in the general area, make minor adjustments with the maxflow.

trouble shooting:
If you have bad consistancey, try increasing the dwell slightly, and lowering the maxflow just a bit.

gear tip:
an air passageway modification or "air-mod" will provide a more consistant pressure in the solenoid, letting your Ram cycle faster (good thing). If you don't have an air-mod, at least get an inexpensive one.

Air-mods (cheapest to most expensive)
1. Tapeworm (best value)
2. Iso-mod (see pics of my gun)
3. VFF (great airflow, no adjustments, but not all Imps can use it)
4. ANS Jackhammer II LPR kit (tried and true, adapter kits from NewDesignz, SP, and Eclipse)
5. Miniflow (SP LPR)
6. Evil LPR, Respirator (highly recomend use with the evil valve)

I already did before  I ended up blowing out my gauge and luckily my pressure relief thingy saved my selnoid. EPBO, which is the greatest place ever, sent me a new gauge.
