How many bps do you get on a 98 custom with a rt? Also would it be a good idea to get a flatline barrel and a rt? I want to be a marksman, I want to have a really good shot, but I don't want to have to sacrfice either speed or accuracy.

My friend has both flatline & RT on his 98 custom. Kicks /\ss.
BPS? Depend on how you set the RT. How many do you want?

dont get a flatline. You can get a barrel that is more accuruate with a little bit less range for a LOT less. Such as an old 1 piece All American.

Well, I'd like about as many bps as I can get. How high can u get it? Would the madmann spring kit help? My friend has a Spyder E-99 and I want to show him that a tippy is better and faster. I sure hope i can. I bet him that I could make a tippy faster and more accurate than his gun with under $300. (He paid $200 for his the other day, lol he got ripped off).

i dont believe that the stock elbow will let you feed any faster then 12 balls per second. look into a new feeder

About the flatline barrel, I don't know what to tell you.
I own both versions of them, but I end up selling both of them.
They works VERY good (Accrue & +100 feet range) when
1. They installed correctly.
2. They are perfectly clean.
3. In good weather. (No wind, no rain.)
4. you use good paint. (like Mard)
5. you hold the perfectly up right.

*98 Custom Flatline barrel isn't good for speed ball, too long. (14")

I like to have a all around barrel, good in All conditions. Lapco bigshot is my choice.

I think you mean hopper instead of elbow.
Yup, you will need a good E-Loader to keep up with the RT.
But, 12BPS is good enough by any meanings.

played against a noob who played about 4 times..He thought he was hot stuff with the flatline cuz he could outshoot pretty much all of us...but once we got to about 65 yards or closer he could hit us at all so i lit him up :-)
If u wanna be a player who stands in the back shooting get the flatline...(not as much fun) or someone who gets those closer ranges and gets in the shooting wars dont get the flatline

No i meant the elbow. since its angled at 45 degrees it will make the bps considerably lower. even with a halo b you wont get any higher then 12bps

Well I really don't know about the flatline. I mean I play with 2 different sets of friends. One of them I'm on a speedball team w/. That's what I use my bruizer for. The other team is pure woodsball. That's what I want my M-98 for. Most of the time we play really short courses because they don't like having to look and snipe and that stuff. They want really quick games until we get more people. I wanna get all my friends together to play. We all play woodsball and I wanna get some huge game together. I'm afraid that if i do get a flatline that i'll suk in short range combat. But if i don't then i'll suk at sniping. I'm really good at being an attacker, but i hurt my knee a few weeks ago and i can't run. Heck, i can't even jog. That's y i want to be a sniper. Right now i'm slow, but i have a good shot.

What's your point?

icerunner45

Well won't that make it faster since it's not a 45 degree angle anymore.

HaHaHa.
vertical adapter (http://store.yahoo.com/actionvillage/011-7020-900.html) is different with Feed Adapter (http://store.yahoo.com/actionvillage/paintball-gun-parts-and-upgrades-tippmann-gun-upgrades-tippmann-model-98-parts-model-98-feed-adapter.html)

icerunner45

i don't get it. What's the difference?

Did you check the links?

icerunner45

yeah it looked like it was saying a powerfeed would speed up the loading. I don't know how though.

The Kampfer

To use expansion chamber or regulator, you must get a VA (vertical adapter).

Powerfeed, meaning it has a hole milled out of the elbow to allow blowback gas to vent, resulting in a better feed rate.
*Note: with this you will need an elbow.

icerunner45

so if i did get the rt w/ it and i got the powerfeed and a halo b. What is the fastest speed the gun could shoot?

The Kampfer
07-16-2003, 02:02 PM
A RT with a 12v Revvy, you get a constant feed rate of 10-12 BPS. That's about it. No need for a powerfeed.

icerunner45
07-16-2003, 02:04 PM
so the fastest speed the gun can keep up w/ is about 12?
I have a 9 vlt revy now.

The Kampfer
07-16-2003, 02:06 PM
I'm not sure the 9v can keep up with the RT.

12BPS is good enough.

i saw that video of that half naked guy shooting a 98 custom w/ a rt. That thing is freaking fast. I can't wait to see some1 with an angel speed shooting 23 bps!

icerunner45
07-16-2003, 02:16 PM
I know this isn't the angel forum or if u know anything about it, but would it sound like 1 long shot if u shoot that fast?

ok disregard the bottom. ^^^lookie taht instead^^^

read this from natural newbies site

ok nvm i cant reach it.

he said : "kinda" there is alot of trig involved and the stock feeder will be able to do about 12 bps succesfully with burst.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

so how long do you need to hold the RT? i think about 2 secs is enough? i dont need to old it for like 1 min. anyways with c02 . itll blow
