What dose it do and is it worth the extra money. I am getting a 20oz co2 tank that has a Pin Valve Should i spend the extra $12 for the on off switch? If so what dose it do?

well, if its the smart parts one, you just twist the knob and it shuts the gas flow off. kinda like an on/off switch to a light bulb.

if you want to use it, go ahead, its only 12 dollars, but besure to get a qualified airsmith to put it in for you.

the on/off switch stops the flow of co2 into your gun while its pluged into your asa, so it saves o rings and such and helps keeps few more shots, its not a veyr imprtant thing but its more of an optional thing to get, mine was only $5 extra when i ordered my 20oz so i think it was worth, some people may have a different perspective

its nice being able to turn off the air before taking the tank off. you just turn the valve off (or closed), dry fire the marker a few times to let the air still in the marker out, then unscrew the tank. it isn't necessary though. most people have no trouble just unscrewing the tank real quick.

it's basically another way to prevent too much air from escaping when you unscrew your tank.

Invest in the on/off valve. It's worth it to not have to dig through pockets for a new oring everytime you bust one trying to unscrew your tank. I'd go with the smart parts one but I'm pretty sure 32 has one for C02 also.

Well, i've done it with tiny, and i mean TINY amounts of air in it. But that was an accident. If its half full or anything like that the air will likely freeze your hand or freeze the top half of your tank and ruin it. Not good.

and What is the proper way to put on and take off a CO2 tank? unscrew it counter-clockwise (to the left), screw it in clockwise (right). when screwing it in you don't want to over tighten it - just enough so it's snug and doesn't go anywhere.
