Bah, 'Cockers are totally over rated, IMHO. I would rather pick up a Spyder Java Compact 2K and upgrade it.

LMAO!!! have you ever shot a cocker? there is no way you can get a spyder to be as consisntant, accurate, quite and fast as a cocker. . . cockers own man! but i have a bushy soo, they own too hehe

Yes. I have nothing aginst spyders, and infact, i encourage everyoneto own one, but an Autococker is a much nicer gun out of the box. I am not saying that a stock cocker is better than any spyder, cause that just aint true. but the cocker is a very nice gun. As well as the spyder. I think that everyone should own, or should have owned a spyder at one point in time, cause it is really fun to upgrade them!
As for pbcraze's question It all depends. if you want looks, go for the shutter. If you want the most for your money, go with the X-tra. and if you want cheap in price, but not in wuality i would just gop compact. Any spyder is going to be what YOU makie it, not what you buy out of the box, cause you will most definatly upgrade.

Yes, I've a number of 'Cockers. Used them in games as well. You people go crazy over the "accuracy" of the Autococker. It's nothing spectacular at all, it hits the target, just as my Spyder does. Simple as that... The 'Cockers I've shot weren't really all that consistent (Using a Gen X-2 reg with CO2...). 'Cockers are quiet, yes, but fast? No. Of all the 'Cockers that I have shot, I have yet to be impressed by their speed, simply because they aren't all that "fast." Pull it too fast and you'll shortstroke. That could result in nothing, a simple ball break, or the pain of a jam... With my Spyder, all I gotta do is turn the Revolution on, and keep on that trigger... But yes, a stock 'Cocker compared with a stock Spyder, there's no comparison. Clearly the stock 'Cocker is better, for a number of reasons...

i can shoot faster with a cocker than i can with a spyder simply because a spyder cant cycle that fast, i dont have a problem short stroking either, i am pretty fast on triggers i could shoot my shutter pretty fast but it wouldnt get any faster, i didnt fast unil i shot a cocker and an excal and bushy. . .

well the xtra is probably the best spyder out of thebox. but i would go with a compact 2k and upgrade it. or just buy a xtra and upgrade that. cockers r great guns but truly not all that. i own a 99 cocker

First let me say I have nothing against cockers, I almost picked up an STO FX today.
Consistant? Slap a Male stab, AKA Sidewinder, or Gladiator on a Spyder and it will be +/2.
Accuracte? Dont even try to tell me you believe that closed botl crap. Put a nice barrel on a spyder, it will shoot just as well as that same barrel on a cocker using the same paint.
"Quite"? You mean quiet? LP setup drops the sound a good amount. However, unless you're a back player, what does gun noise matter?
Fast? Trigger job, elcd, hyperframe, RT trigger, etc Will all have it just as fast as any cocker.
BTW, I've cycled a Piranha at 18 bps (no paint of course) and NO loader will feed that yet. Spyders cycle plenty fast.
I have come to the conclusion, that you are wrong.
big ugly spyder

amen p pro, and besides y r people coming into kingman forums telling them to buy cockers i meen he is in a spyder forum and besides for a lil more than an outa the box cocker u can up grade a spyder to be better take a compact 80 a elcd 180 and a cp barrel 40 used wgp reg 20 that makes 320 and shoots better than a sock cocker.

Well, a simple trigger job'll get your Spyder up in the ROF game real quick... Spyder can't cycle that fast? Tell me how fast a Spyder can cycle...

Yes, i really dont think that you can fire fast enuff with a spyder so that is actually has a problem cycling, unless you have an electro trigger. Cause it is still very hard to do with a spyder. you may be able to shoot faster with your cocker, but you cant out cycle a spyder tough guy.:D

As I stated, I cycled my Piranha at 18bps. The current standard for feeding is 16 bps, this will work the same with a Spyder.
You wont outshoot the gun, you will outshoot the loader.

And you brought this old thread back for what reason? Half the people that posted in this thread don't come here anymore. It's almost a year old, no one cares anymore.
