View Full Version : Your First Time Paintballing

My first experience with paintballing wasn't the best one ever. I went to a friend's house to play, and everyone had talon's except for me. I thought I was so cool with my BE Samurai. We had all gone to wal-mart and got our paintball's and our co2(12 grams). We when we started, my gun couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. The paintballs were flying everywhere after about 30 feet, and all they would do is curve. I think it was the crappy BE paint that was sitting on those shelves for months, but i also think that the gun had something to do with it, cause the barrel is only about 5 inches long. Anyways, I was so dumb that I wouldn't even clean out the barrel after a break. That is also why the balls wouldn't hit anyone. Another problem was using 12 gram co2's on a semi auto gun. After about 14 shots, I would be out. Because I didn't know how to play at all. All I would do is fire, fire, fire. So about every 2 mins, my gun would burst fire, then the co2 would run out. Since everyone knew when the gun went to burst fire, that I was out of co2, they would all come running after me trying to get free shots on me. Anyways, I ended up using about 10 co2 cartriges, and only getting 2 hits. But, I made sure that this type of experience won't happen again. I sold the crappy gun to my brother :). Oh man its going to be so much fun to bust on him with my new Model 98.

Oh don't worry, I will bust on you when your gun freezes up while mine is still shooting. Even though it will probably be shooting pretty crappy, it hopefully will still be shooting :)

yeah sure. you suck at pbing. you got lucky when with a samuri. it flys in every direction but straight. like i said earlier your jealous so you have to try to put my gun down, by saying general remarks of guns. like most guns without a adapater or remote doesnt work well in cold weather. and yet you try to throw it in my face. i suggest you think of some better things. and think of a name

Jeremy, please stop, first of all, I didnt understand a word you were sayin, maybe because I read it all to fast, but get off of this, im better than you, my gun is better than your's trip. All it does is cause problems between us. Geez, I don't even want to talk about my gun anymore, cause you are always finding ways to say something negative about it. All it does it make us hostile towards each other. Which is good if we are about to play paintball against each other, but there is no point in putting me down because I have only played paintball once with a crappy gun. I never put you down and say you suck at paintball. Just cut the crap and act normal.

I agree with Justin... calm down, dude. And besides, Justin has a lot more ideas for team names than you do anyway. I even have some good ideas, but let's not turn this into a team post now.

What Cambridge was saying is that he thinks PMI Piranhas are better than M98s, and I personally disagree with him on that and so does Justin.

Yup yup....i think the m98 is better than the piranha, but he doesn't. And I dont want to start another fight...so im just going to drop it :)
Good Idea don't start arguments or feuds because it isn't for this forum.

The first time I ever played was at my old school. There was this thing called the family fun festival and our youth pastor decided to make paintball an activity at the little kid's playground. I had only heard a little bit about paintball before and I decided it would be fun to give it a try. (The bad part of this story is that there was no chronograph, but we'll get to that later.) I wasn't sure how much it was going to hurt getting hit by a paintball so I wore a t-shirt and shorts underneath my BDU's.
Well, when everything was all setup, I borrowed my youth pastor's stingray, bought some paintballs and went on the field. We were going to play a 2-on-2 game with me and this other newbie against a pair of guys who had been playing for a couple of years. We were newbies who didn't know anything so we decided to stay in the same bunker. (Yes, that was stupid, but we weree newbies who didn't know any better.) Because we didn't use a chronograph, everyone's velocity was way above what it should have been. To make a long story short, while the guy from the other team laid down cover fire, his teammate decided it would be fun to bunker us with his velocity turned ALL THE WAY UP FROM THREE FEET AWAY. Needless to say I had two huge welts on my back and my arm about the size of baseballs. But I got that guy back in a later game when I was in a tower. I shot him right on top of the head when he didn't see me. Since my velocity was at about 350 fps, he had a huge welt on his head. :D :P

What's cruel? Shooting him on top of the head?
Yes, we had face protection.

The first time I ever played my freind told me to go strait through the middle. That's exactly what I did and I was promptly got tagged about 5 times. I shouted out hit but then realized that not a single ball had broken. Unsure of the rules I asked if it counted if they didn't break. One of my opponents said no and shot me 3 more times; that time they broke. The day wasn't a total failure, however, the very next game I hit the same guy who hit me: with one shot from my crappy pump right on the hopper from about a mile away(lucky shot;))!

Let's see here, my first paintball game would have been approximately 5 years ago. It was a one vs. one game (paintball hadn't really caught popularity in our area yet). Me and the trusty Sheridan Equalizer vs. my buddy and his Spyder Compact. We just played until we ran out of paintballs, if you got hit...you better run, because there were no outs whenever we played :) Ahh yes, the good old days I can still remember the first time I got hit. I caught one in the back of the leg but it didn't break (my first experience with bounces).
Paintball is now officially popular in my area, with fields opening all over the place. It used to be that the top guns were semi-autos, now we've got electro-markers all around our area. I kind of miss the old days, I really think paintball players today are missing a very important step in paintball. Newbies with some money go straight to electro-markers without developing their skills first.

My first game was on a very large speedball field with military vehicles spaced too far apart. (They didn't make real great bunkers either.) There were also some barrels and short wooden structures with mesh over the front (still too far apart). My entire high school went to a place that had lazer tag go-carts, paintball, mini-golf, an arcade, bowling, etc. All I had to pay for was the paint, and it was $5 for 100 rounds (powerball I think). The rentals were pro-carbines, and the masks were good. The fields IMO were lame. I only got hit once in 3 games because my team won once and I ran out of paint once. When I got hit it was from really far away and a lucky shot. Even though I didn't play much, it was still fun.

the first time i played was when i was about the first one of my friends to get a paintball gun with my brother. and his friends all had pretty good beginner guns and i had a Genie. so my brother is a year older and his friends wanted to see if i was ne good so i went to this forest sorta place to play with about my brother and 3 of his friends. i hardly even shot my gun so i didn't really know ne thing and they told my to go to this crappy spot where i couldn't really stand up or even that move. or else i would of got shot 30 times so i just stuck my gun up and shot it at a blind fire and the paintballs went curving. because i had some sh!tty BE paintballs!so i just started to run after one of them and shot him and taking his bunker place and about 1 min. after i got shot 3 times in my leg, stomach, and chest. but now paintball is more popular and im one of the best at aimming and more experinced with my friends. but all of them have tippmann 98s not that their bad or ne thing its just really playing one on one when its like 5on5.only three people have diff. guns me my friend and my brother and we all have Genies(Rebel). so my paintball in my town is finally popular.
