impulse vs omen

I don't know which of the two guns i should an impulse or an omen please tell me what you guys think about it?

shoot both and decide from there...i would get an imp tho just because it has been out for a while and it is a fact that they preform well. Also, it comes with the best reg on the market. The omen's are just hitting most stores right now, so it will be a few months before u see them on the field probably.

imp is a safe bet, but if you want to take a chance get an omen. also omens dont have many aftermarket upgrades yet

Well just to let you know, a stock Omen will kill a stock IMP in performace.

There are a lot of resions to get both. However, if you think one has a major advanage over the other, you are wrong. We have both in stock and use both. If I put a pipe on each, there is no measurable difference in preformance.

I happed to shoot better with the Impulse- but you would have to exspect that- I have put well over a million paint balls thru Impulses.

On realy brittle paint, the Omem I have seems to handle the paint a little more gentely. I dislike the high rise, so I use a ND "no rise" on mine with a Halo. I don't happen to like the trigger on the Omen- but that will soon be cured with a blade trigger.

Out of the Box the omen compares with an Impulse with the "College pack". The "college pack" Impulse will Shoot faster and be about equal in on target preformance. The Omen will handle paint better.

Ofcourse "everyone" has an Impulse, so when you show up at the field noone notices. When you show up with an Omen, EVERYONE notices- and everyone wants to handle your gun (" can I go over to the target range and shoot a few thru it???")

In the end, none of us can make this dissision for you. If I didn't have all the experince I do have with the Impulse and I had $500 to spend, I think I would most likly get the Omen my self. But a lot of that is just because, even thought I have done many "closed bolt VS open bolt tests- and I KNOW there is no pratical difference in range and accuracy- somethin inside me still says "closed bolt is better"

In fact, when the new Shockers came in, I was very dissapointed that the gun is NOT a "closed bolt" gun.

personally, i can shoot faster with my omen than i can with my friends rat, and i haven't had a single break or chop im my omen, his rat has chopped and broke paint many times. but, if your omen breaks, who can you rely on? spartan2, and maybe me. if your impulse breaks, its alot easier to find parts, and information on how to fix it. i like the feel of an omen over an impulse, its smaller, i like the trigger better, ect. ther both great guns, and like everyone says, shoot them both, see what you like better. between a stock impulse and a stock omen, i would go with the omen in a heart beat. but a rat, thats a tough one.

We are working real hard to come up with some stuff for the Omen. Our grand plan is to be to Omens what we already are to the Impulse world.

THe first step is to offer Omens OUT OF THE Box with after market barrels. Example- we are offering the Omen with a PIPE, the way it SHOULD have come in the first place.

Hopefully, real soon we will be able to offer other upgrades installed on the markers and down the road a peice our own milling on the Omen

Anyway, for evil to sell it with a pipe it would have costed like 200 more..... put it this way does sp sell there markers with freaks, no. To say, it should have come with a pipe is rediclulous. Anyway, the 1 peice pipe it does come with is smooth as a baby's ***. It is the best stock barrel I have ever seen in my life, no joke, do not count it out.....

I just ordered a Omen too BTW. The appeal to me is the electro cocker similarities. I sold my two backups (Tribal Meph and 2k1 cocker) and I am anxious to see how it keeps up with my primary gun (Dark Angel).

ok one last thing before i buy an omen. should i get one online for 400$ or get one at pevs for 475$ but it has a wanntary for life so it something is broken they will fit it for free. i just wanna know how many problems you guys have of things breaks or getting repairs of it..

Well i would get the oemn over the impulse becuase the impulse is gonna redesign and that means that the impy that we know will be discontinued in the near future.

But if u are worryied about that your Omen will be broken from factory well PMI will fix it at no charge cuz they have one of the best costumer service ever.

well if it works IR3's are pretty sweet...you could sell it and get the Omen and use the extra cash for a Pipe barrel, loader....

ive shot my friends angel and it was pretty sweet, if it works its a keeper, not disin on the omen though, but an ir3 for around 300 (500-200tank=300gun)its a great deal you may like the angel more than an omen but get the angel, shoot it for a while and then decide if you want the omen still, and then go shoot the omen if you want to look into it

ive seen the nerve but i was told that it was goona be their new High-end lectro that will cost like $1000+.

Redneck 89 i tested the impulse and the omen and i prefer the omen is much more faster IMO but since u like RAT impy i suggest u to wait for the RAT omen to come out or test both markers like i did.

Note: im saying i only tested a normal impy and a normal omen not a rat omen or a rat impy. Just in case.

i just got my angel today and played. Man oh man does the guy rape. its great as hell. it have 26 modes and gets 20bps its nice as hell

But you can't pull 20 on the trigger in semi mode...infact I believe that the Angel modes are capped at 13 bps.

No, I can't get 20 bps, I have gotted to 17 bps on my X-mag, and 16 with my viking. But thats with the WAS board and the board turned up alot higher....and I'm talking 2 second burst's here.

yea i gotta firgure out to adjust my trigger until the trigger pull is like nothing and then i am gonna try to see how fast i can get it. my gun tells me the fastest i have gotten too.
