I hate to sound like a newb but i am when it comes to imps..
if i run a 68/3000 on an impulse will it not work well or what?
thanks
It will work fine. All nitro does, basically all to decide about for nitro is what size tank you want, and that just depends how you play. 68/3K would be perfectly fine though.
Your impulse will run great on compressed air. I will also work almost equally as well on an anti-siphon CO2 tank.
In fact, an a/s 20 oz CO2 tank will probably get you about double (or close to it) the shots that a 68/3000 will get you at only slightly less consistant fps.
P.S. Did you know the Johny Rotten that came before you? He was no "newb", you'll have big shoes to fill. Just learn everything you can.

Explain.
There was a man once born inside the matrix that had the power to... oh wrong story.
Johny Rotten is the name of an electrician that used to play with the RatDogs. He helped out at the shop and new a fair amount about the Impulse. But he gave up paintball. As I understand it, his on again and off again proffesion wasn't very condusive to helping him make team practices and stuff. So in the end he picked up another sport. Dirt bikes or something.
Anyway, he new a lot about the Imp. End of story.
If you wish.... forget I even spammed this thread with his story.

Any 1 ever get shoot up with their impy on co2? well happened to me this weekend. Went to the chrono, wnet like this: 277-283-290-299 then i stopped and played around with the settings to make sure i wont shoot hot. yurned it down to like 250.
yeah and i think the dwell is a little screwy on my board too hopefully WAS will fix it.
Anyways im geting n2 tommorrow so its all good.
C02 does make your gun a little less consistant. Ive done the same as you, have it go from around 283 to 293. Which i believe is in part to c02. I have around 5300 through my imp, but im not sure how long it takes for the reg to be broke in.

ive put about 8 to 10 k through my mostly stock imp on just CO2 and i think the reg has finally broken in. I am gettin +-3 over the chrono now, when i first got it it spiked like +-8 or 9.
