Can you use a red dot site on a vertical feed gun?

If you can mount it on the sides, then yes. If you can only mount it on the top, then no.

I think the sight you have in mind is the Armson OEG (Occluded Eye Gunsite) which is the only red dot sight I know of that be mounted BEHIND a vertical feed. The reason it does this is because, unlike other red dot sights, you don't look through the sight with only one eye but use both your eyes.

Assuming your right handed your right eye looks into the sight and sees a red dot against a black background, while your left eye sees the outside world (sorry thats the best way I can describe it). What happens is that your brain combines the images from both eyes and so what you see is a red dot floating in midair. The important thing is that you don't focus on either eye but instead just look through as if you're looking normally. I hope you found this rant useful:)

My friend just got one of those Spyder Shutter guns and his beaver tail has three (3) rails, on on top and two on sides. He could easily mount it on the sides. Maybe you could get that beaver tail and modify it for your gun?

But the question is.... why the hell you need a sight? I bought a very nice sight for my gun and never use it.... it just not worth the effort to aim with that thing. I used it twice and once got shot right into the sight while aiming, screw that, just spray and pray :D
