cocker or bko?

i never shot a bko in my life but i like cockers.i love slide triggers and i hear cockers are better so i dunno should i stay wit the bko or cancel and go wit a 2002 stock cocker??

Cockers are better? Stock, I would say the BKO is a better buy.

However, the thing is you can make a stock cocker just as good as a $1000 cocker with a lot of upgrades. All cockers take the same parts and everything. You cannot do this with the BKO.

But, IMO, the BKO is definitely a good, cheap marker.

It's all about the feel. You say you like the slide triggers and the feel of the cocker. Then get the cocker. However, you might want to try shooting someone elses BKO at a field or somewhere else.

I dont have a BKO, or a cocker but I have to say.... my bros BKO has been doing better than my IMPY and my friends cocker.
BKO. Fast, Very silent, light, small, simple as long as u dont play with the colorful wires. Might have to buy a fast hopper. Very little kick. LPR. Very good buy!

Cocker. Fast enough, Dont need to buy a egg/halo. Looks nice. Not that light. Not as quiet as people say a cocker is. It does have kick but the way its balanced, you wont notice much.

Hold both atlest because they have a different feel.

it's all about opinion, you'll prob be able to throw paint a lot faster w/ the BKO, but cockers are great too, they have alot of parts and upgrades, if you like to tinker w/ stuff go w/ the cocker. i had a tricked out cocker that i traded for a vapor bushy, i miss my cocker but bushy/BKO is also a great choice


if u wanna lay down the law w/ the paint, get a BKO.
if u wanna tinker, and screw around w/ a gun and make it perfect for you go w/ the cocker

I had to decide between the 2 at one point
it was either a $280 BKO
or a $320 '02 Cocker

....of course my broke *** went with the BKO

i don't regret it at all though because although i love the feel of a cockers slide trigger, it still can't put out as much paint as a well-tuned BKO trigger w/ out an aftermarket frame, and everyone I know that owns one has problems with it even though they are all mechanically inclined people.
+ the BKOs are much lighter and are > or = cockers with quietness.

Well I would go with a autococker I like them alot also because you can customize it more then a Bko. If you want speed though and reliablity at a cheap price get the bko but if you want to go all out on a gun a autococker is the way to go.

Definitely BKO. Even though the EM1 and BKO have the same basic designs, the BKO has more options to upgrade.

The EM1 has been discontinued so it is nearly impossible to find good upgrade. The BKO on the other hand is an extremely popular marker now and many companies make great products for it.

If you're looking for a good, light, fast, upgradeable marker, the BKO is definitely a marker to look at.

Its not hard at all to find good upgrades for the Em1 if you look on the right sites with spyder faq on it. It will give you a bunch of upgrade options for your Em1. The Em1 isnt totaly discontinued though you can still find a few of them in some online stores. Not the ones we know today though like Pb gear, 888, Paintball.com,xtream pb, paintballsrus, those kinda stores wont have them.

em1 and bko's are almost the same mechanically, they both use a spring returned ram.

barrels are prolly much more availible for the em1 b/c of it's spyder threading. but i think most everything else is easier to get 4 the bko.

but as far as cocker/ bko. it all depends, my friends dad's cocker had no kick @ all, and it was super quiet. he had a 12 inch boomy on it and ans regs. i think he used the stock ram. i don't remember what bolt he had. he had the stock 99' body, and a sto 3-way i think, i never say his valve, but i am sure it was upgraded, and he had a new slide fram that was supposed 2 be really good.

ne way. it depends what you wanna do and how much you wanna spend. a cocker will definatly run more once you upgrade it. but a bko will prolly cost more in paint, cause it is way faster. unless you have an e-cocker or something.

you can upgrade cockers to no exstent, that will take some $ out of your wallet or purse, Bko's can be upgraded VERY nicely but not ash as a cocker, anyways I thought you bought a BKO from SP, don't bother canceling just get it and be happy mon!

this is my first icd post...

i have changed my mind soo many times about my next marker, before i decided on a BKO, it was a cocker. lets face it, whats not to like about a cocker? accurate, consistant, and endless upgrades. whatever you feel is right and what your style of play is should determine which you get.

now a couple quick bko questions...
what are the barrel threads?
what are some good upgrades?

i know nothing really about them, just that the reviews are all good, and everyone that owns one seems to like it.

They have ICD threads unless you have a MI bko or payed extra for cocker threads........upgrades:HP regulator(gladiator,sidewinder,torpedo,messiah,etc .),LP regulator(micro rock), valve(zenitram,vapor,tornado,rocketsonic red,etc.), bolt if you have a blowback problem(vapor,tantrum,shocktech supa fly), barrel(kits,custom products, no freaks cause sp makes 'em) and theres other but im too lazy to do all the work for you, always b4 you post a ?, SEARCH

ICD is more xpensive, SHOOTPAINT can get you 'em it be a little more $ but its still cheaper than ICD I believe, might be slower tho, call him, travis is a cool guy:D
