Man that stinks is it me or did everything just go up in price?

What if stuff went on sale could it go lower in price?

that seems odd... i mean if tippmann sells their guns to the dealers for a certain price, why do they care if they sell it for whatever price they want? Tippmann isnt going to make more money out of this unless they raise their wholesale prices... atleast this is a business move that doesnt piss alot of people off... *cough* smart parts *cough*

ArmoTech already does it(I'm the only Alaskan dealer:D ) It's not a bad thing. That is the MINIMUM ADVERTISED price allowed, which means that the store can't go any lower or else they would lose money. It's mainly for the small business folk like myself. Example: I sell A-5s for xxx.xx dollars, another store in town sells it for 150.00s more than I do. The other store has a few in stock, where as I would have to order it and recieve it in a few days. My price still covers shipping and I make about 30.00 in profit. Where would you rather go?

Yea someone said something about stuff going on sale, I wonder if that matters?

Whats the point for this, I thought Tippmann would have enough money by the number of guns they sale!

I don't think Tippmann will directly make more money off this program, it is mean to protect local Tippmann dealers.

Ex, Wal-marks sell 98 for $130. (They buy a lot from Tippmann, I am sure.) Then some crazy dealer sell it for $99 on-line. Not many people will buy it from Wal-marks, less business for Tippmann, less money.

i dont get it, im sure most people will buy online once the've seen the error of their ways with the garbage they bought at wally world. i would think that tippmann would too

well, if any of you listen to headhunter tippmann isnt going down the drain its just making sure its dealers make profit, which in turn promotes more business deals for tippmann... and still they have to make money... there is alot of competition out there and more money also means they can increase quality control, new products, ect. tippmann is fine... im happy... abit confused... but happy

Yeah guys listen to headhunter. He obviously knows what this is all about. I can't believe that you people think it would just mean that Tippmann is out to make more money with this. Like a few others said, it is to protect against competition. 'Tis all it is, making the market a little more fair for small companies.

Leveling the field. Giving the shops a minimum base price(FYI is BELOW MSRP) to go buy so they can still make something.

2 things... one, i guess that online stores count... thats what most of them will be, i guess...

and 2, this will prevent people from buying wholesale, then reselling "wholesale" (really a bit higher, but not to much)

Tippman may want to sell more markers directly to customers at these set prices while right now they may charge more than other stores charge, therefore they lose direct customer sales

By the info given I'd say that those are still up to dealers.

I think it's been said, but I just want to clairfy what I think I read. Tippmann is raising the prices on everything to protect retailers that sell their products. That way, everyone should make the same profit from selling their markers, so reguarless of where you buy, you will get the same deal. So now the company you'll buy from will be the one that throws stuff in for free, has a larger selection of aftermarket parts or has other marketing deals (free shipping)?
