I'm trying to decide between the two (the ages old decision). Which one is quieter, or are they equal?

they should be pretty similiar but the cocker has a very distinct sound to it. it also depends on the barrel more than anything.

my mag is super quiet with my freak or j&j ceramic but it all depends on the barrel
cockers sound cool cause of the back block

id say mags are quieter because cockers will always have the sound of the back block moving back and forth

I think they are equal in loudness, but each have a distinctive sound. I know it when I'm getting shot at :)

An LP cocker is much quieter than a stock mag though, but a stock cocker runs at about the same pressure.
