what do you do if your opponent asks to borrow a pod of paint during a game? it seems polite, but it could cost your team the game. please post your opinions in a civilized manner.

Unfortunately I'd probably have to say no because I barely have enough paint for myself.

the options are a little vague, no?
If it's a tourney, no. If it's practice...sure, just as long as i get the same amount of paint back.

i didn't include the option of yes/no in tournies because it's pretty obvious that everyone would say no.

I would have to agree with Tic Tac. Wouldn't it suck to lose a tourney because of you loaning paint?

I would if I liked the person or if there's someone on my team I want to see get shot, I'd ask my opponent if he'll get that someone if I give him the paint.

The real question here is, "Why are you so close to an opponent that he can talk to you clearly enough to ask for paint and, more importantly, why haven't you bunkered him yet?"
I'd loan paint before/after a game, but not during.

Opponent during a game: no
Teammate during a game: yes, but I'd expect to get the pod back filled.

During a game no,because they should have to conserve just like the rest of us.......but when were not playing i probably would for some in return

yeah sure throw him a pod about 4 feet out from his bunker, and then just waite for him to grab it back.

in a tourny, heck no...not even if hes going to hit me back for that pod...in practice, heck no, not even if hes going to hit me back for that pod...
if you didn't bring enough paint onto the field with you, tough...bite the bullet and call yourself out or do a sacrifice bunker move or something and pretend like you have paint.

You're joking right? "Can I have some paint so I can shoot you with it?"

I only give paint, because it's a constant joke that my paintball friends and I have where we send out people to kill each other for us if we die early in the game.

Small time game - probably, if I can get it filled afterward
Tourney - Hell no, stakes are to high to be that much of a gentleman

Practice/Rec- yeah, no problem, it's all in good fun
Tournament/Scenario- "Cover me!" *bunkers player*
I feel I should also mention that it probably wouldn't matter, I use 10-round tubes and more than likely the player couldn't hit naything with it.

Same here. Some guy asked me for a tube of paint one day, I gave him a ten round and her just laughed and threw it away. Jerk.

sorry for being unclear. i meant if you get tagged and walk past your opponent on your way off the field and he/she asks for a pod.

Opponent: No
Teammate: If he/she looks like they know what they are doing, then sure. I don't wanna lend out a pod to some kid that's gonna be shooting teammates and trees. Once I gave this old dude with a Black Magic a pod of Team Colors, and he repaid me with Marbs. And I earned some respect, so that was pretty cool.
