hey all i was wondering wether to get an impulde or a cocker i am completely neutral on this, i have a spyder amg lcd and im afraid that an impulse will not sport much improvement i havent heard much about the rof differances or accuracy im looking to get into higher end markers and i have a fast trigger finger thats why im wondering if a impulse would be a better choice than a cocker because id have to put 400 into a cocker to get it. i know some about cockers and nothing about impysso fill me in please

ahhhhhhh a big delema, i have both a cocker and an imp so the way to solve your prob is GET BOTH....
cocker=accuracy-efficiency-quiet-moderatly fasy-upgradeble
impulse=moderate accuracy-efficient if set up right- hella fast- upgradable(not as much as cocker tho)

impy, i cant shoot a cocker, there feel is too weird
having owned and shot both, and being a tech on both, here's what Dr. J says.....
1. Same Acuracy/Distance. End of Story.
2. Imp will shoot fast for a whole lot less dollars.
3. Imp has lots of custom stuff, but not as much as the Cocker
4. Imp has less maintainance
5. Cocker requires more knowledge and mechanical ability to maintain and adjust.
6. Impulse can have anti-chop system for a lot less.
7. Efficiency on both is variable with the setup.
8. No hammer springs in the Imp that need semi regular replacement like in cocker.
9. Imp has no anoying back block (if you care)
10. There are great FAQs available for simple tuning (operating pressure, dwell, etc) of the Impulse and less guess work with internal weights.
11. There are more options available for the tuning of the Autococker, but that also can mean more confusion, wrong turns, hit and miss, and incorrect upgrade combinations.
12. Can't half stroke an Imp
13. Cockers can offer more tinkering fun and pride
That's the gist of it!
P.S. I chose the Imp. But you may want to learn more about the SP lawsuit before you by an Imp. I'm not trying to turn you away, but you might want to check it out, just so you know what your getting in to.

Yeah, just like Dr J said, cocker's are a lot more maintenance. If you're the kind of person who likes to know EVERY single thing about your gun and likes to tinker with stuff a lot, then get a cocker.
But if you'd rather not worry about all that stuff as much, get an imp, they're very easy to maintain.

Dude get the imp the newer impulses come with cricket boards and they are capped a 20 bps or something like that trust me you will not out shoot it and it will be a big improvement from your amg.
I had to make this same desision cocker or imp. At my field I got to try both of them and the imp in my opinion was so much better. And so I bought a imp and I love it.

Ya many cockers are nice, but I would DEFINITELY get the Imp over an 02 cocker.

cockers dont require hardly any maintenance at all. unless u havent owned one, you know what i mean. time it, set it up right. oleave it alone, dont fix something thats not broken(did that with a shocked.. not good)
but i would go and shoot both guns to see which u like more..

yea i dun like the cocker's stock frame and trigger... i hate how it feels and i like how the stock trigger on the impulse... i just can't walk it because its kinda hard.

1: i have learned that no gun is more accuracy then the next..
2: i love my mipulse i can git high BPS out of it that it would be very hard to git with a cocker with out spending cash
3: my cusin has a cocker so we start cleaning at the same time, I can gut my gun before he is even half way done and clean my gun lube it all up and start packing it up when my cusin is just finished guting his gun.
5: the only thing i dont like is that my gun is gas hog, well not a gas hog but bad air effitintsy but all u will need is a LPR and u will be fine
6: 1 of the most important to me.. the gun is very easy to trouble shoot and in my few weeks of having it I have had no major problems with it

Impulse if you want my opinion. My teammate had a cocker then got his impulse for christmas, and has never shot his cocker since. PS he has been bragging about how sweet his impulse is for the past 9 months if that tells you anything.

If speed means a lot to you, by all means, get the Impulse. Only way you're going to get an Imp's speed with a cocker is if you eblade it, and if you do that you're spending almost as much on the trigger frame alone as you would on the entire impulse.

which one is more quiet.
id get a cocker because they are relly nice easy to maintain and has a nice feeling to the shot and the gun. the first time i shot one i fell in love

ya cockers are nice im not going to say there not, its just u have to have a cocker in the best shape all the time or it wont work, some thing will go rong but, impulses they can just work even work with a problem

yeah right the smart parts guns r so high maintnance its not even funny. i just put mine in the shop for a new soleniod or soleniod oring. is going to cost betwwen 5-80 bucks. not to be cheap but im only 14, black, and i dont have a job. i make A's so my parents spoil me but still thats fricken expencive. im probably the only black kid in my town that can afford this.
take my advice and go with the cocker because it doesnt just fall aprt like the impulse does. besides the ROF the cocker is a pretty fricken good gun, besides do u really need to shoot 17 bps (ritorical question). the anwser is no, is still thing u need to snap 5 balls(accuratley) bunker but still do think u will have a better chance of hitting it spitting 10 balls(aimlessly), i mean do u really think u can do that accureatly.

i have a 2k1 impulse and it has the same noid it has had sence it was made, just lube the noid the only resone i can think of is that u blew the noid its not the markes falt ( unless there is some thing rong with the newer noids) but hay that is what i think
