View Full Version : Im using too much gas!!!

I played paintball today with my friends. One friend, had my old m98 with flatline i sold him and his brother who has the same thing except a silver gun. We played with my other friend and his uncle, who has a PMI Peraniah(sp?). And my other friend has an m98 with dye Xcel. we played for about 2 1/2 hours. It was so cool but it sucked cause it was woods ball.
Anyway.
I only brought about 450 paintballs with me. I shot em all and I only have 1000psi left outta 3000psi. What could be the problem? I am using WAY too much gas. But it doesn't seem like my velocity its really high. please help.

yeah nipples are wierd like that:rolleyes: they some times slowly leay and you can barely hear them same with the blow out valve if it still happens call the manufacture or get soapy water and put it on where you think it is leaking if it is leaking there bubbles will be comming out

No that's right. With an LP modded intimidator you can expect 700 shots or so out of an 88/3k. 2000psi is 2/3rds of 3000psi. You fired 2 thirds of your gas then. 2/3rds time 700 = 462. Nothing is wrong. If you dont like the fficiency of the LP mod, then buy one of the new volumizers from Bob (they're pretty cheap) and you can get 850 off a 68/3K tank, which is a big improvement. Or, undo the LP mod and return to stock setup

you said I could expect about 850 outta a 68 3k tank with new volumizers. I plan to get those but I have a 88 3k tank. Was that a typo?

How many shots should i be getting out of my intimidator with a 68cu 4500psi tank on normal operation with 500psi going into the gun, becasue im only getting arouns 800, and i know that that is too low. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Increase your HP pressure and shorten your dwell to around 12 (or 6 depending on solenoid)
