Is it really important to have a real expensive gun like an angle? Can't you do just as good with a tricked out cocker? I always thought it was the palyer not the gun or the person and not the equip. but thats just my 2 cents any other opinions?

Uhhh a fully tricked cocker will be the same to more $$$ as a stock angel. The angel will also shoot more bps than it.

An angel is still going to shoot faster there is no possible way that a cockers mechanical trigger can fire as fast as an angels electro trigger

A stock angel, in my opinion, is better than a very upgraded cocker.

I strongly disagree. I think performance is more important than features and ROF. IMHO a angel can never be as good as a cocker performance wise. They are sweet and have a great ROF but are still no cocker.

i agree..and in tourneys..it might be just me cuz i'm a front player, but you won't have the time to sit there and string off a LONG string of shots, so you really don't need that 14 bps. I have to pop out take maybe 3-5 shots and tuck back in, so a REALLY high rof isn't required. I shoot at 10 bps, but i rarely ever sit there and string off shots that high, cuz i'm always tucked in and snap shooting. I htink that back players do string off a long chain of shots though..i'm not sure, i've never really played back.

I disagree that a cocker has the best performance myself. Consistency wise I think a few electros beat it, and since they ahve a higher ROF, the only thing the cocker really has is that it has a great feel to it. That's what some people like, and that's why some people buy em, but the days when they had unmatchable consistency are probably gone, it's more in just gettin what you like. I think there's electros out there that outperform the shocker, including an angel that's set up properly and has an aftermarket reg put on.

The Wdp mini reg is one of the best regs and there is no reason for changing

I wasn't saying that ROF is important. I say an angel is better because it is more upgradeable to a better marker, competitive with what is on the field playing against you, easier to work on, and, now that you mentions it, ROF... whether you want to admit it or not makes a big difference on a small speedball/sup'air ball field.

So what? It's on the angel because WDP makes the angel, and WDP makes the WDP mini reg. Just because the angel is the most expensive gun doesnt mean jack sh1t in terms of performance, that's such a stupid point to bring up. If you've tried the angel and you like it, good for you, but I dont think it's the best gun in the world regardless of how much it costs, that's just being ignorant to think a price tag makes a gun good.

You even know why the angel is so expensive? Because labor in england costs a fortune, and they're expensive as hell to make over there, if it was made here, it'd probably cost around as much as other electros, and then it wouldnt be so good, would it?

I've used about 3 or 4 angels in my lifetime, and to be honest I wasnt particularly impressed with their consistency, they had WDP mini regs on em, and I refuse to believe that the crappy consistency was because the Angel is a POS (which it is not) so the only thing left to blame is the reg, leading me to think it's not all that great

I dunno, I'm not saying the angel is a bad gun, far from it, I myself couldnt justify the price, but that's besides the point, all I'm saying is the ones I've tried had poor consistency and I attributed that to the reg, because It's unlikely (not impossible) that all those people didnt know how to set their guns up

Besides, I know of alot of angel owners in the PBC forums who've put macDev gladiator regs on their guns because it has better performance, which also leads me to think that an angel would be better off with an aftermarket reg (gladiator) than the stock reg. Angels are great, but there's always room for improvement with any gun

an upgraded cocker would be better than a stock angel I would think. Its not always the rate of fire, its the accuracy of the gun 2.

You know whats odd? I've heard a few stories on PBD about people putting angel air on their angels and getting +-10 fps consistency. Then, they replace the stock minireg with a gas-through or gut it and they get +-2. Wierd huh?

I agree with tlplus84. The angel is a great marker, and can shoot unbelievably fast, but they are not the most accurte guns. A front player is going to need a gun that will hit the target in 2 or three shots, while back players need guns that will hit a relative target in a stream of paint. There is no way of telling which gun is better, it all depends on where and how u play, what u need in a gun, and which on feels better to u. The angel is nice, but for 1200 bucks, i can get a black magic, boomstick, 12 volt, kap drop, and nitro tank w. grips. The performance will be similar, the nagel just burns a biger whole in ur pocket
