I need some advice, I am about to trade my Blue and silver Armotech mars LT with an antisiphon 20oz tank, Ricochet AK loader, 900 severe painballs, spare o-rings, spare ball detent, manual, and shipping for a:
03 Phantom Acid green with 45 grip, 14inch barrel, 50 round dyed blue brass eagle hopper, elbow, 20 oz tank, and hopefully :velocity adjusting rod, pump return spring, spare seal kit, shipping, maybe remote, and warranty.
I have not talked to the guy on the phone yet only on the internet. And we live a few states away. The guy I am trading with is 15 so am I. I like my gun, but from what I have been hearing at the field I play at, where everyone uses pump as well as semis, they say that phantoms are the best. Are they that good, are they worth trading almost all my stuff for. I don't know how exactly we are going to actually swap our guns either. Are they really great guns. I am the sniper type and I play woods, so am I doing the right thing.
PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR OPINIONS OR SUGGESTIONS

phantoms are awesome guns, no matter what, and have a real good company to back them. I would trade, if you are sure you want a phantom, even if it is used, it is gonna be an awesome gun.

I'm doing the same thing almost. Except I'm not "trading" per say as I'm not getting rid of my current marker. Though I could use the cash :| My only advice is don't rush into anything. Meditate about it :)

As stated...if you cannot hold your own with your Armotech, you will get crushed. I do not recomend playing pump until you gain experiance, on avg., a player that does this simply get's put down over and over and over and over and over and over again and does not learn lessons.
You say you are a "sniper". Stock class is the most aggressive form of play. Sitting and waiting, etc isn't ideal with a Phantom, fire once, you miss, you have no second shot and you just wasted an opportunity.
The Phantom adds no range, nothing mystical about it, no accuracy advantage, etc. It won't work miracles. There are some people that play better with the known disadvantage (such as myself), however, that does not seem to be the norm amongst most players at fields or outlaw, most play better with the gear advantage.
So, in conclusion, for your descripted style of play, no, not worth it, it's louder than your Armotech, slower, you gain no accuracy, etc. I simply cannot see any benefits. If you want to shoot less then use discipline, I shoot the same with or without playing pump, the Phantom just fits me and my build.

the main item that sticks out at me in that deal is your Ricochet AK loader.
The Rickochet is a fairly good loader, and would still be very useful if you ever planned on getting a high end gun in the future. It would be something I would persoanlly want to keep.
Also note that since the 20oz is big enough to throw off the balance of the light Phantom, you will almost always want to run remote. A remote line can effect the way you play, positively and negatively, depending on your preferences.

For a "sniper" who crawls, a remote will tangle and make noise (tangle gear), esecpally in anything above light brush. I recomend a smaller 4-ounce tank or 12 gram powerletts.

If the tank shoulders comfortably it's fine. I play with a 68/4500 nitro tank on my phantom. :P
You need to understand that your giving up your flexibility as a player. I'll give you an example.
I was scouting for my team in a woods game and i spotted 4 of the other team walking along in my direction. My options:
1)Hide and ambush them from behind.
2)Fall back to my team for backup.
3)Wait for them to come into my range and shoot them all out before they know what hit them.
If i was playing with my phantom #1 would have been more risky and #3 would have been suicide.
Personally most days i prefer just to shoot anything that threatens me. Some days i prefer to sneak around with a pump but i wouldn't want to have to do it every time i play.

I must say that I agree with BlackSheep all the way. I used to have a phantom and I did not like it as much as my piranha I had then. I would not go with the phantom.
