Are there any household items you could use to oil up your gun? I ask because I am literally flat broke aftering ordering my newest addition to my work in progress (my Piranha) and I ran out of my friends quarter tube of gun oil he leant me.

No there arent. Most household oils will disolve o-rings or 'cause them to stretch out (especialy petroleum based household lubes). Something cheap and very effective (I use it on both my intimidator and my spyder) is White Lithium grease. Apply a coat to all the moving parts inside your marker and you should be set to go. The stuff is also dirt cheap

do not, i repeat DO NOT use any other oils in your marker unless its paintball oil! i read in the APG that it can destroy you marker, and it voids the warrenty. so go out and spend the $4 and buy painball oil

I read that article too. It also fits into my classification of "hippy bs". See the guy who obviously knows so much about paintball that he knows oil can destroy your marker :eyes: is a guy who makes paintball oil. In the article he essentially says "buy my product or your gun will break and be worthless. So buy me buy me buy me buy me buy me buy me buy me buy me....". If someone can show me a household lubricant that destroys their marker I will give them 50 bucks. Oil can warp o-rings, damage cup seals but that's about it. For a lubricant to destroy your marker, you'd have to be lubing with battery acid. I'm disapointed that APG would print such a self serving article for that guy and then try to pass it off as informative :(

paintball oil isn't that expensive at all! you should just go down to your local shop and purchase some. It's a lot cheaper then having to take your gun into the shop for the airsmith to repail becuase you used the wrong stuff.
Better safe, then sorry brah!

Can White Lithium grease be found at hardware stores? And the only place near my house sells the little tubes for like 10 bucks, and like I said, I am flat broke, I have a total of about 35 cents in my room.

White Lithium is fine.....as long as you run nitro. Co2+white lithium creates an almost gum like substance.
3n1 oil is good to use, and is found anywhere. People say it will destroy orings, however I know people who have used it for 10 years with good results. I used it on my gun for about 6 months, with no problems at all.
